There's currently huge numbers of late model old Defenders for sale, don't know if its the LEZ's killing them, it certainly is in places like London.

Although some dealers are trying for high prices they're not selling unless more reasonably priced.

You can get a very nice low mileage one for £30,000.

Higher mileage are half the price. l looked at a 110 XS Station Wagon (top of the range model) last month with 110,000 miles.
lt drove really well, the owner had done all the important jobs such as the output shaft and clutch.
The bodywork was clean with no rust as was the chassis.

Price was £17,000 ono
lt's still for sale.

A re-boot of the Equalizer, to replace the Jaguar sedan he drove…
A Jack Carr shoot’em up series.
Jack Carr wrote one of his side ally characters in a recent James Reese novel to drive a Grenadier. Jack even went to the USA press launch, so I reckon we might see a Grenadier in the new Terminal list prequel series or season 2 of the main one.

Also, for those in the USA talking about the new 'Land Cruiser' it's not a Cruiser, it's a Cruiser Prado, we get the 'real' cruiser 70 series & 300 series here in Aus, Suckers ;)

Hurts but you are not wrong about the "real" Land Cruiser.

Interesting that prices have come down. 40 series Land Cruiser prices have (thankfully) fallen from their irrational peak a couple of years ago too. I'd think there's some connection (however small) to Grenadier availability. The reality of driving a tractor tends to dampen enthusiasm eventually. Certainly Defenders have lost some status with youtube content creators as well.

It's too bad all those UK right hand drive models aren't worth as much in the US. Even the LR Workshop & Expedition guy just drove across half a continent to get a late model LHD 110. He was on this forum I think maybe very early on. Maybe he's planning a sale to a US buyer in 15 years?

Right now the long-time hard core Toyota fans are mostly badmouthing Grenadiers. They know about them but refuse to acknowledge their attributes. You can tell because the complaints are all minor gripes that make little sense like complaining about not coming with 35s or no third row seat or wanting air lockers blah blah blah. I think it's really just a question of the entry cost compared to the (diminishing) stock of 60/80 series vehicles - at least in the States. When these vehicles start coming off of warranty in five years they'll be all over them like flies on sh*t.
Im a long term toyota guy, still have a 2020 Land Cruiser. Keeping it and also upfitting the Gren for off road. Not that the LC will ever die, but juswt another tool in arsenal. I like the Gren a lot but still waiting for some good skids. Once they come out I may in fact go ahead and take the Gren off road. Brnad new I hate off roading them until I get a couple whiskey dents, then all will be well. I def think the undercarriage is exposed too much, but nothing that a good set of skids wont fix.

I purchase and had the SPP undercarriage protection kit installed few weeks ago (8 pieces and had them powder coated to match the red factory painted frame). Have you checked into this set up (pics below)? Btw, also long term Toyota guy too. On another thread posted some pics of my 2022 Tundra. Almost always have had a Toyota or two in my little personal fleet, but IMO this Grenadier is now my personal favorite vehicle of all time!!!!!!

I have not seen that. Very cool I will have to check it out. I have the full set of BudBuilt skids on my LC, had Shrockworks on my 4Runner as well. Love underbody skids and it seems more hting are exposed under the Gren than most any other auto. Are these aluminum or steel? Ill go check them out for sure

One last question, do they just bolt up or is there drilling involved?
All direct bolt on, all steel, no drilling at all and my install guy said was the thickest/heaviest and best undercarriage kit he’s ever installed, and he has done a lot!!
Is this it?

Yes, but I bought mine from:
