I did a small thing today. I corrected the only thing that on first impression I did not like about the Grenadier. My first drive was in an early prorotype with no ADAS so hopefully in time the second irritation will be short lived.

The field of vision looking rearward from all three mirrors was limited but the lack of rear view visability on drivers side was troubling for me, an old guy with a couple of back fusions behind me.

As I understand it the mirrors are made in Taiwan. They are OEM quality, better quality than the mirrors that came off (my opinion). Mine came from Owl and were $225 delivered. So worth it.

Is there a reason to pick blue over gray/silver? I hear it has something to do with glare reduction but maybe it’s more about what looks best with the exterior color of the vehicle? I just ordered blue - but probably gray would look better.

I asked the same question to Owl, and as far as they knew, it is only aesthetics.

Not sure on the blue, but I have the gray… great upgrade for sure, but took a few days to get used to how much darker they were compared to factory. That being said, my windows are tinted.

Since blue mirror glass can absorb such dazzling light, it is regarded to reduce glare plus improve your safe driving. Thanks to its anti-glare blue tint coated on its surface, blue mirror glass is typically used as side view mirrors and rearview mirrors.

I had the same question regarding the grey vs. blue tint on these mirrors. I decided on the grey based on a reply from Suma Performance in a response (below) to customer feedback on their website

I have the gray but don’t like them. Had them on briefly and didn’t like the Perspective. Yes they provide a wider view w/reduced blind spot but I didn’t like how the distance of objects is appears so much greater then the OEM mirrors. Since I had the WolfBox installed and its wide angle perspective I don’t need the Suma mirrors.

If anyone wants mine I will give them to you. No payment necessary just a solid donation to a dog rescue or shelter will be sufficient. FYI, mine did not ship w/pigtails.

I have the gray on and love them.
Lots of snow here in the Sierra Nevada and I had to put on the defrost. Can report that the mirror heater works great, the snow melted off the mirrors in a quick minute. Really like this product.

I installed my gray Suma mirrors yesterday. My only knock is the darker tint of the mirrors. Other than that I do like the wider view.

I keep toying with changing mine and cant decide on the blue or the gray. With eldorat blue, the blue mirrors may just be too much blue. Its hard to tell on the owl video.

Same problem - I have a BB w a red nose wrap (because I’m unleashing my inner 5 year old and the Tonka truck I used to have) and ordered the blue from Owl. I guess they’re not shipping until end of the month. Fingers crossed it doesn’t look stupid. Personally with EB I would go gray. That’s just me.

I thought the blue with the factory window tint would be darker than optimum for me, particularly driving 90% during the day.
