Petrol/Gas Strange Occurrence (engine failing to turn over)

So very strange starting issue this morning.
-9 C so not very cold. Battery shows 80% state of charge. Load tested the battery myself and it tests good.

When I tried to start the truck this morning it would try and roll over the engine for like 1/2 second than stop, than 1/2 second and stop. It was behaving like a dead battery. Took the key out put the key back in turned and it started as normal. There was a message on the screen. “Please Re Start Vehicle”
So shut it off, started it again and it’s been ok since. Anyone have a thought?

After 2 months of -20C and winds 40-100/120kph I’ll take -9

Possibly not temperature related, has happened to myself and others but in those cases had to wait for screen to go blank before it would start correctly.

I have had a couple odd no starts. But they resolved by cycling the key. Just goes to show there is software between the key and the starter. Not what many of us signed up for. Very disappointing. What's the point of a real key if there's still software in the middle. Just a placebo effect.
