I'm thinking of painting my spare tire cover to match my vehicle color. I appreciate your comments. Thank you.

Something that dawned on me today that I really appreciate about the grenadier is the subtlety of its badging.

But I can see where for others, they would like it to be more prominent.

Thanks much Adam. Yes I was thinking of the same thing. Put a big red 'A' behind GRENADIER.

Good idea on the darker colours, not sure if it will suit the lighter colours. Sorry if that wasn't the comment you were looking for

Easy to to with Plasti dip.
If you like it , and comments are favourable , you can use something more durable.
Such as the flexible paint used on the deformable bumpers of last century still futuristic Porsche 928s.

If painting is desired, has anyone found ‘codes’ for the colors?

I wish the wheel was turned around so I could take the plastic cover off.
You can also remove the plastic cover even though the wheel is turned.

Can the tire be mounted the other way around if one chose to? Or are the studs too short?

No, you cannot mount the tyre the other way around without modifications.

Ok, if it's a question of aesthetics for you. I always have my commercial vehicle glasses on. Sorry.

I'm with you Thale. I don't like the look of the reverse-mounted wheel either. I asked the forum previously about reversing it but it's going to be complicated.

We definitely need a rear tire flip kit!
I personally like the fact the tire is flipped the way it comes for two reasons.
1) The main weight of the tire is closer to the door, which puts less stress on the mount, door and hinges.
2) The storage area created with the storage compartment is perfect for keeping a few light weight items in.
To each their own, just my preference. DaBull
