And that is what the issue comes down to- whether or not you want it or not. It’s only money. Sure there is risk, but there is also the opportunity. Money may not buy happiness, but it sure can buy an IG that puts a smile on your face everytime you get behind the wheel and try to think of the extra errand to run, the long way home, and the next time I get it above 10,000 feet on a dirt trail going somewhere…

This and this. When I walk out of a store, I find my Grenadier in the parking lot so I can just look at it while walking towards it. DAMN I love this box of metal SO much! And yep, having it just brings me a dose of happiness and fun and indulgence and it’s just cool.

I didn’t need this car. It’s not super practical. It’s not inexpensive. I don’t buy new cars. It’s not always easy to park lol. But I love having it in my life. I bought it bc I wanted it so badly! And I finally talked myself into it because if I loved it as much as I thought I would, then it would actually be really affordable bc I’ll have it forever. Zero regrets!

Funny story…My dad told me last week that all the residents of his county won(settled) a class action lawsuit against the county for charging separate fees for trash pickup and recycling pickup on their property taxes and not recycling the materials, just throwing it away. No recycling pickup fee for the next 18 months was the result based on the idea that if it was all going to the dump anyway, it shouldn’t have been 2 fees.

Similar logic when I ordered my Grenadier

Luckily both have turned out to have been pretty good choices..............despite the quirks and occasional problems.

Great analogy! Sums up my view perfectly! Yeah, buying this made no damn sense at all, but I have never regretted it and love it! Quirks and all!
