I would guess that most of us within this Parish have been invested in Grenadier from the very start. Followed every video, read every report, digested informed and uninformed opinion in equal measure. We have also chucked a couple of grand behind the emotional investment and are now in purgatory. Waiting…. just waiting.

Personally I’ve reconciled to the wait and in an age of instant gratification, it’s not the worse thing to be endured.

Reading the various threads on the subject you can sense the frustration and it’s understandable. I’m personally convinced the waiting will be worth it and it can’t be too much longer…. can it..?!

I‘ve already used the IG process as an example for the opposite of instant gratification. Stopped contemplating about it when I came to the conclusion that all my children should order one as a lesson for life.

Me to. Those have been the contracts they sent out first, just to find out that the lights at the end of the tunnel were indeed those of a train…
After that the exchanged some staff and buried themselves in very deep.

Was at my dealer today ...

• my car still not OK (no software update)
• they are waiting for the manuals
• they are waiting for stickers concerning the fuel to stick on the inside of the fuel compartment door, see picture below
• Ineos is invoicing the dealer / importer for the delivered cars, although they can't deliver yet

This last bit of information is in my opinion a positive sign!

I did get a little more information by email from IA today; my March build hasn’t happened. Its in the next batch, although I’m not entirely sure what that means. They do think that customer vehicles will be released within the next two weeks… It would be nice to see some out on the road, although as none seem to have reached Scotland yet the chances of me seeing one are pretty slim.

The last one is maybe erroneous, our contracts are with Ineos Automotive and not the Dealer - so we will receive the final invoice from and pay IA. Why would IA be invoicing the dealers/importers?

In Belgium an Switzerland as well as in Portugal it’s different so Ineos charges the importer
in this case a company named Hedin
and Hedin will make the contract with final customer.
in UK or Germany there is the agent model where Ineos charges the customer directly and the agent gets paid by Ineos for delivery & handling service.

@Stu_Barnes I had this on different vehicles including Mitsubishi, a Jag, Mercedes and Ford Windstar
They had Fuel grade and tyre pressure in Fuel door and in door frame.
The logic is when refueling the vehicle the driver might be reminded to check tyre pressure as well.
Nowadays with electronic pressure monitoring it’s less a topic. I use a petrol/ gas station quite close to check cold tyres..

I have to admit that I was also surprised about this, also new for me!
Some weeks ago my dealer told me that the fuel doors are unlocked (can be opened from the outside) while still in transport mode, but can only be opened from inside the vehicle once out of transport modus. But I didn't check if this is true and how they do this (electronics again?).

Normally the fuel filler cap is part of the central looking system.

Well at least they keep on making them at the factory so when they do complete the software update and other bits there should be thousands of them hitting the road within a few weeks.

Since we don't even get to order ours until mid year in the US and get them at the end of this year its just more testing and R & D time to work out all the kinks. They said delivery in December, probably more like March if I were to go by this European rollout.

I wonder what their daily vehicle output is at the factory for 98.73% completed Grenadiers?

I just had an idea: we should create a thread called „Nothing“. Then one of us has to post the word „nothing“ every 60 seconds. Thus whenever the What’s new section refreshes, it would accurately show the current state of affairs.
