Unsure to be honest, as I would want the commercial variant in 90 wheelbase and I see they quote a year. But I can't tolerate the misinformation of Ineos and I worry about aftersales, imagine a problem with something major (which will happen to someone) and no one talks to you.
Yes that is a concern re aftersales, I am hoping that things calm down a bit once the first year of UK deliveries has passed and they get their house in order. Bit of a gamble yes.
The warranty gives me some comfort and if something goes bang in a big way and they are still in ostrich mode I'll get the thing flatbed delivered to the agent and bill him/Ineos for any rental truck. Probably a lost cause but I need a working wagon and I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

You've probably seen Harry's 12 month review on his 90 hardtop. Copying link incase not;;

If you’re communicating with the factory for after sales something has gone badly wrong.

I gather that the present breakdown is between production scheduling (Hambach) and customer service (central or your nominated agent).

If your agent is not taking your calls now change your agent.

If your agent is taking your calls, but can’t get an answer from the factory, how about giving them some credit that they’ll still take your calls once it’s delivered (and their own revenue is on the line).

Above all, if you don’t want to risk teething issues then give the whole box and dice a couple of years to build the muscles.
If you’re thinking Land Rover is the key to a superlative customer experience though I’d galvanise myself for disappointment.

Never a truer word. INEOS after sales service is currently an unknown. Land Rover is known, and it’s awful (personal opinion based on my personal experiences)

Indeed, with the difference that at least Ineos has a motive/something to prove. LR just want you in the next Velar (shoot me).

Yep INEOS has a reputation to build, and their pitch is longevity and reliability and you trade off a lot of style, comfort and tech to pay a hefty sum for that. Their sales will tank very quickly if they don’t put effort into living up to that promise.

Almost booked for the Big Red Bash, almost booked an August Simpson tag along trip. Very glad I didn’t book those
Why pay for a tag-a-long mate?
If you don’t know anyone with experience at this, I’m sure a few of us could plan a little adventure down the track with like minded souls.

Happy in principle to join a group of Grenadier owners if there is an appropriately experienced group of people. Just don’t want to do solo for first time at least, and want the advice they give you on what you need. Also have had experiences in the past where people have said yes sure let’s do it but no one could ever settled on firm dates or plans, or people started dropping out one by one until it no longer becomes viable. The advantage of a tag along is that there is a fixed date you can plan your schedule around.

Damn, looking at orders all around the globe and who is getting what: - both the wife and I are seriously contemplating changing our entire end of year plan. It was meant to be a full SEP into OCT trip... with the Gren. I'm not sure at the moment... if I will get this vehicle IN AUG which will give me the time to prep it for the journey...

I help out a tag along operator, and I can’t wait to do my first trip with him in my Grenadier when it arrives.

I'd be happy to keep in contact with you and let you know dates etc, once we get our vehicles. Feel free to message me.

What kind of prep are you planning?

over the bridge, on the left
I'm impatient, after being promised, October, November, December, January, February. On March 1st, if they cannot give me a firm delivery day, then I will try to negotiate my deposit back.

You all might say, so "close", but I would say so "far" and I'll buy a Defender.
Is there not 6-12 month delay on new Defenders?

Called Ineos today. The lady could not find my file. Said she'd look into it and call me in the next hour. She did. My car is built and is in Hambach. It is undergoing a manual inspection and waiting for a software update. She will get back to me next week to give me more details on delivery. She expects it in the next two weeks. So at least with me, Ineos has always kept its promises. Let's see if they get back to me next week on the update.
Contract signed on November 7. Went into construction on January 9 with conversion of my account. Then heard nothing until today.

In fact, this is perhaps an idea for a future section of this forum: anyone planning a trip where he/she/it would like to have other cars joining (perhaps open to other 4X4) or would accept taking some passengers could announce it on such a new section.
@Stu_Barnes ... what do you think?
Could be by continent, or in some cases by country if there are too much proposals.
But perhaps this exists on other platforms. I never searched for it, because I am mainly a "lonely" traveler, but that doesn't mean I would not be open to it.

I pick up hitch-hikers when I can, although this is an almost extinct species, at least in Europe. I hitch-hiked myself a lot when I was younger.
