3th impact, second in two weeks, carglass won’t repair, „in your view“, new windshield is ordered, BUT in June I‘am 2 weeks offroad driving and won’t do it with new windscreen, sure after the trip I need a new….

new Windscreen is now stored until end of June

This is what I'm also using, have a >10cm crack resulting from a large chip at the upper edge of the windscreen (passenger side). Step-by step repair with this stuff from the far end towards the original point of impact.

As reported here, it lasts almost 10.000km now, no sign of slightes increase in length.

I don't see any good reason to replace it, although I have a screen on the shelf I was lucky enough to get for 400EUR...
 
Not an invitation for our antipodean friends to photograph their arses but rather our windscreens.

I saw a thread on one of the Facebook groups where it seems a common occurrence for a mystery crack to appear in the middle of the bottom edge of the screen. 5 or 6 people reported the exact same thing.

I wasn’t aware of a stone chip but I jumped in one day and saw immediately a 3-4” curving crack that actually follows the shape of the wiper pattern. It’s grown and grown but screen is being replaced tomorrow.
Anyone on here had this?

Here’s mine.
It continues to grow. No windshields in Southern California available. Dealership says they are stuck in customs.
