We try to make an annual trip to the Big Bend every October. Our Trialmaster would have been there last year but a mod to carry extra fuel did not finish in time.Jason Knight - Alpine, TX (Big Bend Region)
What fuel modification are you making? There are options in Terrlingua and in the park, but there have been occasions when they're out of fuel or the pumps are down. So extra fuel is never a bad idea.We try to make an annual trip to the Big Bend every October. Our Trialmaster would have been there last year but a mod to carry extra fuel did not finish in time.
We take extended trips to remote areas. Adding the Long Range America bumper which has provisions for two 20l cans. Also considering their larger main tank to increase range. While normally ok, access to fuel in Terlingua can be an issue with no electric for the pumps to being out of fuel. Have been going there since the 1970s, a lot has changed even life on Bill Ivy's porch. Talking of him, any word to the plans for his store in Alpine after the fire some time ago? Looks like the Holland is getting a refresh. What fuel modification are you making? I haven't heard, just that they're hoping to rebuild. Alpine moves slowly (one of the reasons we're here ), Marfa on the other hand seems to have something new ever week.We take extended trips to remote areas.
