I wonder why he couldn't select low range?
Hopefully it was just user error.
Whoever lent it should have checked this basic feature was functional.
He said the lever was broken. The outer part you lift.

He should have bought the Grenadier, his reviews are always better when he buys the cars. I can see why he bought the Prado, there will be more views and aftermarket support for product placement advertising and on nearly every FB 4wd group people in general like bagging the crap out of anything Toyota which gets the viewing statistics up for income.

RD is no fool. He knows what pays the bills ;)

Yep, Toyota is his bread and butter.

Plus I still think INEOS will give him a long term loan of a cab chassis.

Interesting first impressions. I wondered why Ineos didn't employ the 48V version of the B57 and B58 engines...probably cost and less complexity
48V does what exactly? The word 'hybrid' with a 48V system is laughable. Just a sales gimmick by the T brand.

48v is more efficient and permits less use of copper by reducing amperage. It also fits within the standard nominal increments of battery architecture.

The design concept of Sandwiching axial electric motors in between the ice and transmission to act as generators and starters that generate gobs of low rpm tq is simply a great idea and really isn’t any more complicated than a smart alternator and it’s programming. It’s just non traditional.
