I finally realised that EVERY THING on my Trialmaster would be perfect if I junked all the electrical system, all ECU’s, screen and Software. Use aftermarket ECU, new screen completely customiseable as many repower of classic cars and bring back some mechanical gauges etc. I am fed up of tech in my cars …. Gernny is the newest and the tech and interference in my driving and its the last new car I will every buy !

Bring back carburettors, that's what I say. My fist car, a Mini, had 4 fuses and that was it.

There is a following with Arduino with people making their own ECUs and companies like an Australian company selling the Drop Bear Ecu and added with the aftermarket items like Turbo Lamik transmission ECU for the ZF 8HP transmissions there will be ways around the factory electronics and making the car more open sourced.

We don't need a new ECU or Body control module. All we need is a tool to let us disable the annoying nannies and reset the service indicator. This exists for almost every brand I know of. My most resent experience is with FORscan (https://forscan.org/home.html). We need something like this desperately.

I heard it said that AI is being used by some to speak for them on a dating line because they have trouble conversing.

It is why we are texting and not calling out on the phone as much these days, we don't have to talk, show emotion or empathy, spell or add up and it can be done while we are watching some garbage on the box drinking coffee eating donuts.

I am at the age now, watching my grandchildren growing up in their world with so much AI injection that we have created makes me wonder? but it is their world. They do come into mine from time to time where I can make them laugh, think and play for a while and it helps me as well plus they all love the Grenadier...

You would think that in the day and age of everything gets hacked there would be a solution by now. But I think the demographic that purchases these isn’t exactly the same demographic that hacks a BMW or a VW or a Honda. So I’m afraid until some Wiz Kid buys one and figures it out we have nothing. I was hoping one of the BMW Providers would have shown interest since it uses BMW components and tech. But no one was interested. Not the best situation to be sure. Maybe someone in China will figure it out.
