As some of you may have seen already I got pranged by a Land Rover two weeks ago. Snowy/icy, I stopped, he couldn’t and we bashed front corners.

Truck was recovered to an “approved repairer”, note it’s not an Ineos dealer or service centre.

It’s sat there ever since because the bodyshop are struggling to put an estimate together because, allegedly, they can’t get confirmation on parts availability and prices from Ineos.

Anyone else had this problem? I was assuming any parts would be available within a week or two at most and don’t see why Ineos can’t provide costs against a bill of materials.

So frustrating

As a ex panel beater who ran my own repair shop for a while that doesn’t sound good.
If the repair shop can’t even get pricing the actual parts will probably take considerable time
Just pray that prices aren’t like many manufacturers these days who are so high it makes repairs economically unviable
I hope your insurance company has provided a loan car until your car is repaired
All the best and watching this space closely.
Please keep us up to date with how it goes and how long parts take to arrive

Have you called an Ineos dealership and ask them for the part availability of a front quarter panel?

Just been visiting Helliwell Jones, Chester. Dave, who used to work at Bowker tells me there should be no issues with ordering parts. I mentioned your predicament, and he felt you were not being well supported. Maybe you should call them and ask to speak with Dave.
You can mention me. Good looking, muscular, older guy with a tan, who called by today. :-)

😂😂😂

That’s awesome, thank you very much I really appreciate it.

I just spoke to the Bodyshop who went to both my local service dealer and the main dealer in Edinburgh looking for exploded parts diagrams and part numbers so they can then make a list of what they need and get prices - and have been told they can’t get them!!

I’m going to call Dave in Chester now.

Cheers

Make sure it’s Dave, previously of Bowker

Ha, there are two Dave’s there and the fella on the phone didn’t know which one so I told him the story and he’s going to email both of them to see who can help.

Nah bloke I spoke to was Jake and was really helpful. He just wasn’t sure which Dave had been at Bowker previously.

The Bodyshop I think just had a “computer says no” moment because the Grenadier isn’t in their parts database.

If only Ineos made the diagrams and parts listings available to owners like they promised!

Frustrating but being without my truck has me realise how much I love it.

I’m in Aberdeen from tomorrow, for the rest of the week. Once home again, if you get nowhere I will go in and speak with the correct Dave.
If you want, pm me your name and phone number so I can pass them on.

Thanks very much for that, funnily enough I’m down in Chester and Warrington for the next few days (but flying not driving). If I don’t get anywhere then I’ll take you up on that, cheers

Sian introduced me to Dave from Bowker last week or so, with the suggestion that he would be the font of all knowledge, fingers crossed. On the plus side, they are getting more staff for the Ineos side.
I didn't see.the other Dave last few times I was in there. Sian does her best but can only relay information but you could always ask for both of their emails if you can't get them on the phone, it does often go to answer phone on the direct number.
