Removable draw system

I tried to get in contact with gearmate by email 'info@gearmate.co.uk' twice. So far no reply, after 5 months.

See post #68 in this thread - they replied on 25th January 2023.

I guess we should be looking out for these soon: "Gearmate will also be offering some additional products direct to customers, such as dog box’s etc in the spring of this year."

It's more than a few years since I've visited an Ikea shop, the lure of meatballs having worn off; but I may have missed a trick if they all have a free wood area.

Well, it will match the rest of the vehicle if this is the future:

My 4-year-old son would be a lead designer if we move to cardboard cars. He always finds imaginative ways to use boxes. During the pandemic, we were potty training him. He decided to take a large box decorate it and put his potty training toilet in the box. Basically, he made a recyclable porta potty.

I'm pretty sure an early Grenadier was modelled in cardboard...the photos out there somewhere.

Another option besides Gearmate, and a "sleeper" to boot:

That's got the makings of a viable alternative to towing a camper trailer. I'm not sure however how they'd accommodate a 195cm length bed into the Gren. ...unless the front seats were moved to the forward extremity. Then there's the issue of no cargo barrier...
The recent "near death" head-on collision experience of @TheDocAUS has yet again reinforced my belief in the absolute necessity for a certified cargo barrier when one has literally a hundred plus Kg of potential missiles lined up behind one's head in the form of a "fit-out" with minimal restraint in the event of the "unthinkable".... The Raidbox is a very attractive product... It should have a cargo barrier as standard inclusion....

Here is my drawer project for my 2 seater Grenadier.
It’s 100cm deep at the base and 159 deep at the top, 105cm wide and 85cm high.
This is the main element of a tailor-made system which will also comprise some storing compartments over the wheel arches and in one of the two empty volumes near the rear side panels. I’m reserving the second one for a gull wing when there will be one aftermarket solution available.
The 20cm remaining between the top of the system and Grenadier’s roof will be used to store some chairs, tables, mosquito nets and walls for the James Baroud awning…

Wow.

What are you guys using to draw up your drawer system? I haven't used cad since high school. I am not an architect so any free or easy to use systems would be great.

Shapr3D on iPad. The free version lets you create two different projects only, and you can’t apply any textures.
