Recall Recall - Stop Delivery Door button mechanism replacement 25V147000 2025-03-12

Ah geesh just read article about this! Bought mine end of July so I suppose mine could possibly have this issue, though haven’t had a problem.

Push Button on Cargo Door Failing to Engage

On two occasions the push button that unlocks the rear cargo door simply slides in without unlatching the door. When I begin to operate the interior release handle to get this door open, I hear and feel a “click”. At this point the outer push button is once again engaged and will unlatch the door.

Could this problem be related to the much more serious ‘button sticks in, door can fly open’ issue?

No this is something entirely different. The button sticking in is a physical problem with the interaction between the button/handle (usually from initially going "in" too far). Yours sounds like an issue with the mechanism connecting the button to the actual release

On a possibly related note… because I’m confused what the mechanics of this problem is - Has anyone had an issue with key fob losing functionality ? Neither of my fobs lock the truck, but unlock and alarm works fine. Noticed this today.

I’ve had that happen to me when one of the doors was not slammed closed firmly enough so a door sensor thinks it is open which disables the locking function. Try re-closing the doors firmly to see if the fob will perform the lock function

Also give the hood a good slam. I drop mine from about a foot high.

So if I can manually lock the driver door via key, does that change the analysis or maybe the key overrides sensors that fob communicates with?

I called Trevor at Mossy Ineos in Houston last Tuesday to ask about the Rival skid plates they carry. He said to drop it off Wednesday morning and they would install a full set. When I picked the truck up in the afternoon, they also gave me two new keys and told me they had done the recall as well. That was quick and painless.

I've had two door buttons stick last Summer. I'm in the VIN rage but now my doors don't stick. I'm not planing to go in unless it;s for something else.

If one of your doors isn’t shut it will do that.
Likely the rear gate door switch is out of adjustment.
