Hey,

Looking for a rear drawer or bench system for the rear of my 5 seater that works with the seats folded flat.

Just picked up my Ineos and would like to use for sleeping in on some trips

Does anybody have any ideas that work with the seats folded?
Ideally in theUK.

Cheers

George

In the IG configurator one can now find the following under Utility - Interior cargo:

LOADSPACE DRAWER
£1,961.00

Large, lockable drawer system which can carry up to 90kg of contents inside. In addition, it enables a full flat floor in the loadspace when the rear bench seat is folded forward.
Please note, the Interior Utility Rails must be removed from the vehicle in order to fit the Loadspace Drawer System in place, as described in the fitting instructions.

On the cheap (if you are not over six feet tall):

1. Remove bottom cushion(s) from rear seat (they are only held in place by a few fasteners).

2. Fold rear seat back(s) flat.

3. Place 7” tall storage boxes in loadspace behind (and even with tops of) folded rear seatback(s).

4. Stack loose gear in void between front and rear seats.

5. Add 6 foot long mattress, pillow, and mints.

The Expedition HQ system is on the very high end of the spectrum and can work as a lay flat option. You may need to prop your legs up some. Prices are in AUD, so significantly less in terms of USD and even more so in GBP, they ship globally.

Great to know it folds flat with minimal effort! I'm 6' 1"... but I can turn on my side

I look at the bed option then wonder if I use it, then where do I store all of the " might be needed" gear I brought along.... Unless it's like Schrodinger's cat and the bed and gear and me can all exist in the same space...or maybe not!

Yes, when I sleep inside, at least some of my gear has to rest outside.

One thing that might be useful, the steel frame that the rear seats are mounted on is removable. About a dozen bolts.
If you are going on a trip you could remove the rear seats and then you get a flat floor.
