@MileHigh .... is there any chance of changing the original thread heading to "175cm" high rather than 175 km (which equates to 108.74 miles) ;) it messes with my head! 🤓
Sorry, that was me trying to be funny. Fixed it for you.

it’s the ineos loadspace drawer. it’s the same height as the folded seats so you can have a flat loadspace.
So the OEM version? How tall of an item will it take? I have some squishy stuff and some hard stuff.

I used to toss those out when not used on a server install.

My tip is, you only want one side with a falling gravity stop, its not going come loose any more the two would, and since you've decided to not use a nice positive handle/latch, you can still open it with something in your other hand. (or one handed, if youre missing a hand.)
Yeah.. wish I'd known that when I was putting it together. I'm often juggling a gun case in one hand while trying to finagle both stops at the same time with my free hand.

So for these different models, that have the ‘side’ areas by the wheel wells, can you lift the top to stuff things like jackets or other little gear?

so mine has a lid on the left hand side which has storage space but also allows you to get to the bottle jack area. the other side does not open.

On my Trialmaster custom Truck Vault build, I installed extensions to the top surface so I can have a complete flat surface from wheel well to wheel well. This is for my kennels and gear to be supported on and not fall down into the gutters on each edge. I have put hinges on these extensions to flip them up to access the sides for gear. I have my recovery shovel on one side and axe on the other. I can still access the cubby on the drivers side for the bottle jack and have my Weboost unit in it and it’s plugged into the cigarette jack there.
I also have the Amazon basket on the passenger side which is working out perfect to store a Roboplex water container for my bird dog. I have my hi-lift jack base in there as well to fill the gap as a holder to keep the Rotoplex from sliding around.
I have small duffles in the sides with recovery gear in them. But it would be better to get the gear guy bags that are flat to store in there.

@ShootingCar I quite like your setup. I need to hang out on truck vault website to see what they have. I really like the hinged wings in each side.
How do you anchor the vault to the car?

I ended up custom building my Truck Vault with a drawer from their outlet store and then ordering the slide out table from them to match the drawer footprint. But you could order it all as one unit and will save some height. I had some angles fabricated that wood screwed into the back edge of the table and then bolted them down to the floor tracks with slot bolts. It was a pain. I then wood screwed the bottom of the drawer box down to the top of the table box.
It would be much easier as a custom order from them as an all in one.
They make the side wings for the truck vaults that typically have magnetic keepers to hold them in place. But I would install the hinges to flip them over. I also have angle brackets underneath to support the wings.
