Hopefully somebody who works for Ineos Grenadier UK reads this forum because they certainly do not read or respond to my emails .

Why do we have Adas on the UK spec trucks. It is really annoying and apparently not a legal requirement in the uk. It's a real Nanny wagen. If I had lived with a Grenadier for a week with all the bongs before buying my truck I wouldn't have placed an order. It's not a 4x4 simple go anywhere truck but an electronic nightmare waiting to go wrong. And if the engine fails you have to get under the truck to wind a bolt in to the transfer box to more it. Has anybody at Ineos been off road when you get an engine failure or are they play day warriors?

What is wrong with designing a transfer box you just put in to neutral ?
why why why do I need to be told my back door is not properly shut! If I slam it any harder the glass will smash .I've had the truck three weeks and I am going out to my workshop to adjust the rear doors yet again.
If I don't close my driver's door properly the gear box goes into park mode as I drive off. How stupid is that. How can you take your truck way off track with any confidence knowing a stupid Electrical error could bring you to a standstill.
Sorry guys I needed a rant .

Welcome to common safety features (and in some places requirements) of 2025, none of the "annoying nannies" the Grenadier has are unique to it, nor do they alter the vehicle during its intended purpose (off road vehicle travel).

How often have you experienced an engine failure that requires the transfer box to be placed into neutral? Having laid on the ground to put the transfer box into neutral myself, it literally takes moments

If you experience an engine failure, as with any other sort of recovery, I'm a huge advocate of the Camel Trophy mentality of performing the recovery... Stop, make a cup of tea, talk it over with the mates, then start the action.

Ineos know its not required in the UK as they put the MY23 back on sale on again once they realised that the UK never ratified the EU changes.
However, I believe all manufacturers have chosen to align UK spec cars with EU requirements.

I test drove an MY23. I didn't know what bongs were coming. However, I don't let them get to me. The bongs and clicks now get the wife treatment and I can filter them out.

Tell them you want the rear door mechanism replaced, I did, they did, not a sound for over a year.

I agree totally with the ADAS thing and glad Ineos Australia has said no to it.
