Hello Grenadier drivers,
I am one of the Grenadier owners who does not have a tow bar but would really like to have one. My car dealer cannot say when Ineos will have a wiring solution for this.
After waiting for six months, I'm fed up with it now and want to have a solution (wiring kit) developed by a specialist
company using the existing wiring as much as possible. This must be possible.
I'm curious to know how many Grenadier drivers might be interested in a tow bar wiring kit. Can you let me know? Of course there are no obligations involved.

Thank you in advance for your response

I purchased and aftermarket two hook from Summer Car Parts. I am working with a friend to wire the basics from the existing wires through a repeater. If it all works out, I will publish the info

I would love to know how it works out for you. I am simply in disbelief that the Grenadier people (who are just lovely to talk to)won't give you the wiring. They won't give you the receiver and the four bolts. But all the media I saw before purchasing show the cars with the receiver on in place and had the data printed as to the trailer towing capacity.
We love this car. But this car at this price point, was marketed to people who tow small utility trailers, small boats, need receivers to hold a bike racks, or a portable winch or a plow.
I get stopped everywhere I go to talk about this car. Each time I get stopped I tell him what a great car is.
I am extremely frustrated and disappointed.

No luck with the wiring! So I've used the over head switch that is capped in the drivers left kick panel which is fused to power my trailers' tail lights: backup lights; side lights and tag light. Connects with 5 pin flat plug which fits each of my 6 little trailer plugs.
When switched on, there's lots of light ...but no turn indicators or brake lights,
I still love this car

There is a third party solution out of Australia. An auto electrician needs to install it. The Kit would need to be customized to meet any local requirements.

Look at Packages 2 and 3 here. They come with a custom wiring loom. Australian towing sets up differ from Europe and the US (we use a 7 or 12 pin flat plug). This is what the control unit looks like installed on my car (2 seater). In my case teh 13 pin Eorp plug was removed and this installed.

I contacted them month ago they said their kit still needs the factory loom and tow module. Said while they could wire it would probably throw codes as the ECU would need to be programmed and they had no idea if that could be done ex-factory. I am going to wait and see if a factory pack comes out (just use the mount for accessories in the meantime)

They don't make it easy, do they. It is a major change to the factory loom, based on what I saw.
