USB A and C outlets
There are USB A and C outlets inside the centre console, which lets a power cable be fed out of the console to the dash area. See this video here.

There are also USB A and C outlets on the rear of the console for the back seat, or you can feed a cable towards the dash. For me, the best option is offered by the Aux power option.

Aux power option
If you select this option there is a power outlet in both footwells, but how it is wired is unknown (maybe Deutsch DTP plugs but that is NOT confirmed). There are 4 power outlets on the roof, which do not help with devices on the dash (roof outlets use Deutsch DTP plugs, see here.)

Is there a picture of the actual footwell plugs showing their exact location? Not the circulation diagram but a real picture? Are they Anderson plugs on the underside of the lower dashboard or mounted on the side of the footwell? Or are they behind the trim with access points in the trim for future use?
I think this has been covered several times
They are Deutsch sockets and they are just tucked up under the dash/lining not hard mounted outlets.
So if someone who has a vehicle wants to go looking for them and take a picture that is the best chance

I second that, we need two pictures, one from the side and one of the plugs holes - for identification purposes.

You can always use a wire tap fuse adaptor in one of the 8x free fuse locations in the cockpit electrical centre (fusebox) near the ignition key. These adaptors are available on eBay for a few dollars. In fact this approach will work for simple power offtake from any of the three fuse boxes in the Grenadier (under bonnet/hood, central and cockpit).Grenadier fuses 1.jpgcockpit fuses.jpgwire tap fuse.jpg

A PT-05 so to say. (y)

Perhaps you'd upload the STL, STEP, OBJ, AMF or STM file to the forum resources (Stu will help) ?

That's another 5 languages I don't know

It’s my son’s work. He hasn’t decided yet if he wants to make up some to sell, to try and sell the file, or just to let me make it available to all. When it’s all done in the next 6 weeks or so, will let people know.

As with ALVC, CPVT, ADHD or MS and the like, all specialist areas use a different language. 🤷‍♂️

You don't have to know what is is. But it's good to know if it affects you.

I have of course chosen some abbreviations that are familiar to Tazzie.

I didn't want him to feel lost in space.

I hate abbreviations  , there are more abbreviations in your posts than :eek:plain words
You can never be an IT professional. If we (IT guys and girls) wouldn't have and use abbreviations, most of the time in conversations would be burned by using spelled-out words. DHCP is simply faster than "Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol" and TCP/IP is a blink compared to "Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol".

The ones I have used in the addressed posting are completely common for everybody which creates 3D prints and I used them in a 3D printing context. It's so to say addressed at the respective audience. If I had spelled out each term, nobody would have understood what I mean, not even the 3D part creator. The same applies for my answer to Tazzie: He's a doc, and they are all medicine related.

And I guess you are not one iota better:

- I doubt you usually call it "Motion Picture Experts Group-a Audio Layer 3 file“ instead of just "mp3 file".
- or do you say "I'll send you a 'Joint Photographic Experts Group' " picture instead of "I'll send you a JPEG"?
- what is with saying I have a "Portable Document Format manual" instead of "I have a pdf manual?"

In the beginning the abbreviation rants were a running gag which was funny. But now it starts to become a bit silly. In a world of abbreviations one better not looks into the internet (sorry: interconnected networks) if he hates abbreviations.

I think, abbreviations aren't bad just because you don't know them. 🤷‍♂️ ;)

Don't even get started on SCUBA or RADAR

Already this morning I have written emails for work which include PLC, VSD & SCADA.
Surprisingly the VSD is communicating with the PLC using TCP/IP, not MODBUS or PROFINET.
