OWL's New Front Bumper

I think it may look awkward when running stock suspension and tires…

The issue with these small shop aftermarket segment is - I am 100% sure they did zero test on crash worthiness. I am not even simply referring to occupant safety testing, in the video they claim relocating the radiators reduce their chance of being hit.. I bet they have zero test data on how the new bumper protect the corner radiators vs OEM bumper.

Getting mine installed on Tuesday!
If you have a chance / ability, would be amazing to have some before and after measurements on approach angles. I know they’re saying it’s higher, I’d like to see how much so. For some reason, to me it looks just as low as other options. Maybe because the winch appears to be sitting low…

The hit point, comes from moving the radiator higher to keep getting hit by a rock or boulder.

Not sure on the reverse angle shape -

Sure I'll try to get some before and after measurements.

Is it me, or does he stock bumper look thinner (more compact)?
Yes, it does, but i think it's an illusion. The stock bumper is bigger the further back towards the wheels, the Owl one is thick at front giving an impression of strength

Here’s the profile view - the Owl one is tucked up and angled, rather than sticking straight out. That will improve approach - I’m not sure by how much

when i said 'impression of strength' i did also assume that this would actually be the case on the finished item.

Yep - I haven’t seen any data on actual angle or performance stats - but it looks really functional. I’m not doing rock crawling - so if I add a winch, would probably do that GP Factor hidden winch, just replacing the center of the stock bumper (which I actually like). Not a top priority right now.

This bumper looks really great. I wonder they’ll beat ARB to the market with a bumper integrated with brush bar (deer, antenna, lights).

There was another option from someone (Dissent? Dirtbox?) that but it protruded a lot out the front.
