I've not had a good look at the exhaust, but (especially on the petrol) wouldn't the rear box just be a noise suppression unit? So no difference in emissions, just sound. Shouldn't affect mot, as long as the pipes still terminate out the back and not at the axleI wish we could get away with taking the rear exhaust box off in the U.K. A perfect place for the auxiliary fuel tank especially with mine as a petrol with no adblue tank. I fear it wouldn’t pass an emissions test or an MOT
I hope that’s the case. I’m no expert but if it could be removed and still be legal then that’s a winner for me. It would leave a big void for a fuel tankI've not had a good look at the exhaust, but (especially on the petrol) wouldn't the rear box just be a noise suppression unit? That was the case on my JK wrangler diesel. I cut the thing off and it made very little differenceI hope that’s the case. I’m no expert but if it could be removed and still be legal then that’s a winner for me. It would leave a big void for a fuel tank![]()
Thank you, appreciate it!
ORS shipped them to me via their Perth agent. I fitted them out.
I sketched the roof shelf I wanted and sent the file to a laser cutter to have it cut and bent, then off to the powder coaters. Cost me AUD380 all done.
Happy to email the autocad file if you want it. Just DM me your email
First off I wanted to say well done on the mods so far. You don’t mess around!

It’s a blatant kaon knock off after I called and they said they weren’t going to do one. Although I have read that this has since changed.
That’s a lot of kit. Is whatever is under the tarp/tent yours too?
I have a patriot X1H camper (~2000lb loaded). The big van behind the grenny is a mate’s zone expedition that he towed with his 76 series Land Cruiser.
