Octodyne-INEOS Guards for the buttons on the steering wheel, so you don't press them EVERY time you turn! (are others interested in this design?)

Thank you all for your encouragement and enthusiasm for this! I have shipped all orders that I got yesterday (Thursday, 3-6-25) Most people opted for matte finish, and snail mail shipping. I will be shipping more orders received today out on Monday, may the postal service favor everyone with speedy delivery! Please tell a friend who owns a IG about these button guards, I have plenty in stock.

I'm considering additional products, like a better solution to illuminate the keyhole, the phone mounts, etc... will keep ya posted.
Keyhole illumination would be great. Phone mounts I’m good with Owls gear rail.

The screws provided didn't work for mine, they wouldn't get tight. I will try to find some at a hardware store near me. Anyone else have that problem? The guards themselves are great. Can't wait to get them on the steering wheel - I hit the button again this morning while rockin' out on my way to work. Killed the vibe. Lol...

Same. I was probably only able to get 1 tight. Without the guard I was able to use the provided screws.

One of mine wouldn’t get tight. I have to go to the hardware story and see what I can find.

Hello everyone, first of all thank you for your orders! Was it the screw in the lower right position that would not get tight? I'm learing that there's some variation in steering wheels. but there are a few things you can do:

1. An M2 screw (like supplied) has an Outer DIamater (OD) of 0.0787". A 2-56 machine screw is slightly larger at an OD of 0.087" 2-56 hex head screws in Stainless Steel or chrome should be available at your local hardware store.
2. Another solution is to use a shim. You can stick a small piece of soft material (like a toothpick or a drinking straw) into the hole, and trim it to the proper length. Then simply screw the screw into that material.
3. if the screw is too LONG and is hitting something in the hole before going all the way in, it can be trimmed down to length with a grinder or rough sandpaper.

It seems that the original factory screws are custom made.... I couldn't find the exact same thing in a longer length anywhere!

One of mine was loose. I put a few wraps of teflon tape (plumbers tape) and it seemed to fill the gap. It’s now tight enough. Not too worried since it’s a non-critical area it doesn't need to be cranked down.

I’ll good solutions and yes it was the bottom right. I’m going to try the teflon tap method first.
