I had hoped that INEOS would get an exemption for the QM but there's no point now. This is pretty harsh for many tradespeople... there must be thousands of double cab rangers and hiluxes out there.
Expect values to drop of a cliff next year..

The QM was never going to fall into that category as it doesn't have the 1 tonne payload.
This isn't surprising, the HMRC have been trying to get DCs as cars for company car purposes for over a decade.
Interesting error in the Farmer's Weekly article. They reference the Navara, but that hasn't been available in Europe since they closed the factory in 2001. Edit 2021!

I was in my local Toyota dealership a couple of years ago and the chat came round to what the sales folk were driving. Nearly every male was driving a Hi-lux and all were city folk.

So there are sheep in cities? I never knew.

You voted them in - politics for a broke economy (like us) has no fair value on those wanting to work hard, and purchase fairly.

Most 70 series in Australia are driven by city folk - mall crawler central is Brisbane and Gold Coast for such evidence. Real farmers cannot afford 70s, so they buy DMAX and TRITON and nowadays GWM!!!

I did not vote them in!!! but yes your right. They can't tax the poor because they don't have anything to tax. They can't tax the rich because they will just leave. That just leaves those of us who work hard and try to better ourselves....

The Marxists were elected by default. Their share of the vote was less than that in 2019. Downside was those who normally vote for the Conservatives, voted elsewhere.

On topic - be interesting to see how many have been sold to date in the UK and whether the taxation has affected it!
