Nashville, TN Possible Owner

Hello all. I live in Nashville, TN and just drove past our new Ineos Grenadier dealership two weeks ago. Never really thought seriously about them since Atlanta was the closest dealership. Currently driving a 2024 Toyota Landcrusier but considering making the switch. I drove FJ Cruisers the last 15 years and decided to upgrade but am finding the new LC to be a bit too refined for my taste. Don't get me wrong. It is a great rig but I am not liking it like I thought I would. Anyone else make the switch from LC 250 to Grenadier?

Looking at a base model that I can modestly build out. Will mostly be used for commuting but will see some offroad activity as well. The dealership is currently offering new buyers a deal where you purchase $2000 worth of accessories and you get another $2000 on the house. Sounds like a good deal but I dont really like their rock rails. Prefer the rock rail/step combo. The ladder has no grip on the steps. etc. Just trying to decide what to do.

Also, What are the largest tires you can fit without lifting? 285's? Im sure that is somewhere on the forum.

People are running 285’s without a lift. Eibach had a 2” lift for the US but it’s causing some mayhem with the CV boot on the front drive shaft - familiar problem for Jeep guys. Personally, I would prioritize getting the triple lock with pre-wired aux hookups on the roof - OEM accessories are just OK, as you point out. There are far better options on market. Just push them on the price and get those 2 things in your config. Dealers are willing to deal to unload ‘24 inventory

I would get the triple lock option with the switch panel and 2 batteries. Also look at a Trialmaster because it comes with a lot of options as standard. The heated seats are fantastic if you need them. Also what I would say is to get a longer test drive from the dealer without the salesman so you can make your own mind up .

To me, the things that are hard (think costly) to upgrade after the purchase are the following.
1. Front and rear lockers.
2. Safari Windows
3. Prewiring for the tow hitch
4. Prewiring for the extra switches (this includes the 2nd battery)

For almost everything else, the aftermarket is growing or has grown to provide really good options and you could wait to do upgrades as you desire or can afford.

I would agree, a longer test drive would be a great idea.

I am about 13K miles into my ownership and I am very happy. I did not get the extra switches and battery and I low key regret not doing so.

I was just at my dealer on Saturday. The manager told me they can now order the trailer wiring kit as an after-sale addition (I already had them add the hitch receiver as an after-sales addition) - so yeah, decide on the safari windows, center vs triple locks, and roof wiring. Those are things you can’t do much about after the fact.

But if I'm not mistaken, the hitch is like $800 from the factory and $2400 if the dealer does it afterwards. I think @anand posted the actual cost somewhere.

This is the list. I think the above is the requirements. I would order the fieldmaster with these options and get the nicer seats.
i ordered the Raised Air intake + the cyclone air cleaner. I would order that again.

everything else i would do aftermarket. including the winch.
i have the:

• agile offroad non-adjustable steering damper (essential imho)
  GP factor winch and bull bar. super nice
• dissent offroad sliders, super nice
• agile offroad, offroad lights from baja - amazing
• Larger wheels (33.5") + extra set of steelies i bought from a member as takeoff
• bison gear 3/4 roof rack, good but i hear leitner is possibly better (didn't exist when i ordered)
• Own sunvisor by rosen (really good)
• Bison gear interior shelf, essential imho
• Bison gear side baskets, essential imho
• rival underbody protection

I have a bunch of other things, but this is the essential stuff imho.
