Have a look at the spare wheel in the pic...DaveB found it to be BBQ plate called Frontrunner...smart idea out of the road...happy motoring
It is funny when we look back at our lives. This car had incredible off road capabilities. And with the front wheel drive, when you drove backwards, you could get up even the steepest trails.
But the technology was a disaster. It had the French version of the Prince Of Darkness and would have needed at least two Water Ingress Manuals. And forget about the brakes.
I have said in the past two things. That's worth a tear and a laugh at the same time.
I understand you very well. Many of us will, I guess.
Yes a barbecue rack. Lots of 4x4 owners in Southern Africa seem to have them. Available in U.K. I think. Now I need to know what is the apparatus on the spare wheel of PT 2B 005...first impression a metal cooking plate...but no idea really?
Great photos emax - tks for posting. That's worth a tear and a laugh at the same time.

I see they have the air intake above the wheel arch. Different for the prototypes I’ve seen and driven ?Take your pick all have been involved in the launch/photo trips in Africa:

Yes ~ a notionally high position for wading. I've posted a few photos on this thread:I see they have the air intake above the wheel arch. Different for the prototypes I’ve seen and driven ?
Different take on the same theme. Aussie version. I’ve had one of these for years and love it.
C'mon they actually did go to the moon mate...happy motoringWait they didn't use a roof top tent that is required to overland. This makes me think Nambia trip was done on some movie lot with animals photo shopped in.
Not sure, looks to be a 4-5 person canvas bow (aka ‘dome‘, aka ‘touring’) tent by type though, if that helps. The tents look pleasantly large.
Does anybody know the brand?
