My Toaster is smarter

I think that is the unplugged version...same as my hairdryer the plugged in version kept sparking for some reason :ROFLMAO:
Aahh, now there's a visual...

Last week one of the local news networks featured a family who were doing it tough in the floods and associated power blackouts courtesy of TC Alfred. A young lady with ahem, fussy hair and makeup, was being interviewed. She commented about how lucky they were to have a portable generator to keep the essentials running. The cameraman panned to the generator to show her hair straightener still plugged in.

Fair enuff, she was going to be on the telly 🤳

Your toaster is connected to your home wifi?
It is actually. These days many people have light bulbs that are connected to WiFi. It's all stupid but fun non the less if you like that sort of thing.

Toaster is just a toy and kind of a joke pointed towards my wife. She despised our last toaster so I went full bore on the new one.

If the Gren was a toaster, this is what I expected in my driveway.

Damm I’m not even old enough to know what that contraption is😂😂…although it looks like it could make awesome smores🤪

I got into his PC thru his toaster last night, and thats been me responding.
And that's why you have strong firewall rules and an IoT VLAN :P

Question-
Did you complain about the toaster when you had to set it up to your WiFi network and PW?
I agree though- OTA functionality on the IG, would be presumed as a given for updates, sync function and better user experience.

GMT historically was time set relative to the average time at midday in Greenwich. UTC is time relative to midnight, and isn't an average. GMT refers to average time at Greenwich which varies through the year hence the averaging to give an approximation. UTC doesn't vary the time based on averaging but instead adds leap seconds to keep the time constant in relation to Earths rotation every so often. GMT was replaced by UTC as a modernisation, and GMT was relegated to simply referring to the UK time zone rather than being the worldwide time standard. Nothing as far as I know to do with firing weapons although no doubt it helps!
Thank you - that was most informative - I am still wondering, however, why it is useful to have a clock on a toaster regardless of whether it shows GMT, UTC, or local time? I suppose you could mount it on the dashboard and run it through an inverter in the Grenadier so that you knew what the local time was.

No auto pop-up so you need to time it, seems a complex way to go about it, but hay, IA came up with it's HVAC system, all these clever people are the same, can't see the simple solutions!
