Can you help me understand what inactive for 15 minutes even means. Opening a door will cause some things to wake up. Is this fine or does the car have to be left completely untouched with the passenger door already open?
Yes leave a door or the bonnet open for the 15 mins. This will make doubly sure that everything is asleep. Worth adding to the next edition of the manual as it was not explicitly stated to me by Ineos.

As for my wish list in no apparent order:
  1. A service manual. Doesn't have to be everything, just cover basic servicing and other maintenance procedures that a typical enthusiast user could do.
  2. Complimenting this allow the user to reset things like the service light and reprogram TPMS sensor positions etc
  3. Expand the service centre network, particularly in the west of Australia.
  4. Tidy up the infotainment menu structure, e.g. move the pathfinder export menu from the home screen to the pathfinder menu, use icons like the off-road menu rather than lists.
Cheers
Steve

1. have USB ports with enough power to run and charge a GPS
2. when using a USB card for music remember to start where it stopped not go back through the whole menu.

  1. Work with the aftermarket to provide a scan tool with manufacturer specific codes and ability to clear codes, test modules and see real-time data.
  2. A Complete workshop manual (didn't the forum say it will be out in Q4?)
  3. Increase Ineos support and communications with owners. Does anybody remember back when they had Q&A youtubes with senior managers of ineos? Why don't they just come out and say whether we will get #1 and #2 above. We bought into the company and much as the vehicle...Why can't they partner with us?
  4. I hate everything about the infotainment system and screen. It's just programming and they did it once, so why don't they do it again and fix it? I will be glad to provide my 90 page document to explain what changes i'm talking about.
  5. Increase number of service centers over the dealer network.

For those that want a center hitch. There is a option from wolf box that allows you to hook up a camera to the license plate holder instead of the rear camera mounted inside. Maybe that will help with centering.

One additional wish for the Europe Version:
  • A smaller Front-Bumper!!
When I look at the Toyota Landcruiser 250, it seems to be legally possible to design a smaller bumper in the EU too.

Just curious - what benefit do you see from a smaller front bumper? I rather like it as it is big with a horizontal top surface - you can sit on it (well perch anyway) , stand drinks or tools on it, and it hides the front winch which makes the car a bit more discreet and less "GI Joe wannabe" when you are in town.

I think the version for Australia (top picture) , for example, just looks better.

Thanks - Fair point we mustn't discount aesthetics - I am just sorry that we can't have metal bumpers in Europe - they are easier to repair and harder to crack in the first place
Wait - what? We have different bumpers? I thought the only differences were RHD/LHD and the diesel B57 option. What other differences do we have between ANZ/NAM/UK/EU? Is there a thread on this somewhere?

I don't think there is a dedicated thread on this.
A fair number of minor variations such as rear head rest sizes, aux light switching, bumper size, fuel filters, options list depending on local regulations.

I guess I knew about stuff like the bull bar
and O/R lights - just didn’t know there were visible differences in the vehicle, itself.

The EU bumpers comply with pedestrian safety regulations. I’m confident that extra six inches will save a life if one is hit by a 6,300 truck. 🧐

Just found out that in AUS, they can't order the inverter aka the power take off. It's not part of the order options

This EU spec Gladiator will probably blow your mind!View attachment 7883227
Well, given the low wattage, not difficult to blow - but yes, that has me reeling and clutching my chest. As @Krabby said, I’m SURE that extra few inches of bumper would make all the difference in pedestrian fatalities. 😒
