Excuse my venting of my struggle. Certainly, what I like to call "first world problems"
Still on the fence. Almost did it yesterday with the incentives going away. I found one on the lot that checked all my boxes but it was a Courtesy vehicle and has a smell of people. Not the new car smell. I am sure good detail would fix that.
So now I am here did not do it and today I would pay $3000 more than yesterday, and I would have to pay for any accessories. Not the worst and better than 25% more on top of the 90k.
However, I still love the Defender, and it is really good off road and fun to drive, and I love my LR3 which has been with me for over 20 years. I also love my M4 convertible which I never drive because I love the Defender. I am not Jay Leno so if I add the IG something has to go, and it would be the convertible. Still, it seems stupid to have 3 vehicles that all do the same thing. Modding the LR3 is the logical step as it is so capable and now it is so old I can abuse it.
To get the Defender up to Grenadier level I just need to add a winch, which is a big deal cutting all that bumper away, and rock sliders. Also need a rear electric for my trailer and some electric on the roof and the second battery is something I was thinking about. Grenadier is not as polished as the Defender, but they have all you need from the factory. So easy to modify.
If I was not married, I would have picked that IG up yesterday.
