Are you all aware....?
A few thoughts on an Eater week end
ENGINE
Our petrol engine is BMW B 58
Le Mans 24 hour endurance race has a category called LMGT3
BMW compete in this category with their BMW M4 GT3
Engine of BMW GT3 has in excess of 500 bhp
This engine is a 3 liter/6 cylinder
based on enhanced engine S58
S58 itself is based on and with lots of components from ...B58 ! (detuned of course)
Does it really matter when driving along a muddy road ?
No ,but it's good to know and good to have .
Not many 4x4 s can claim such a parentage
ROOF :
A Defender can support 100kg static and dynamic
a grenadier can support 150 kg static and dynamic,50% more
Does it really matter?
Not really in most cases ,but it does show Grenadier is in a different league
CV JOINTS
I have seen on a photo of a G wagon, rubber bellows at the front .What for an all terrain !!!
This one does matter
Please forgive me if some of my comments are not factually correct
I stand to be corrected

And the Grenadier was developed by Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria who also make (among others) The BMW Z4 and G wagon.
