I have had my grenadier for about 18 months. On the whole very happy. I did have an incident the other day.
I drove about 8 miles to a local supermarket, after 20 minutes I returned to the car and found it would not start. (a few grunts as it attempted to start but little more).
AA came out and diagnosed a flat battery. I found it hard to believe. It jump started ok and has been fine since, with no indication of a battery issue. I am sure that it was a computer glitch, and have heard similar tales.
I am now carrying a starter pack, Which I normally only do with an old car, such as my 1955 Citroen B11.

Welcome David. Glad to hear enjoying your Grenadier.
I few, including myself, forumites have reported the same issue. Mine along with another's sorted itself after locking the vehicle and letting it go to sleep for 15 mins.
Nothing correctly diagnosed as yet but theories range from immobiliser problem thru to software glitch, low volts and a limp turn of the key in the ignition!

Do you have a tracker with immobiliser? Mine needed battery changing in the tracker for.

In two years of ownership I have had the same problem once and exactly the same cure worked as for as ECrider. Walk away, curse the vehicle, compare it unfavourably with a Toyota and then when you return 10 minutes later the wretched thing starts first go and has behaved ever since. Perhaps it's just letting you know that it's been feeling a bit taken for granted. My spaniel is similar and once or twice a year (at least) looks at me from a seated position as if to say - go and pick it up yourself.
