Let's get some perspective: Is your Grenadier AC working as it should?

Who else's AC is batsh1t crazy and randomly blows hot air one day and cold the next on the exact same setting? I don't think the AC system got the attention it deserved during the 1.2 million miles of road testing, that's for sure. I love my new truck but it's the one thing that drives me nuts on pretty much a daily basis as I fiddle away at the controls and I'm surprised Ineos haven't found a fix for it yet. I gather it's down to sticky solenoid valves or such like and is probably an expensive warranty concern for them.

It would be useful to set up a poll on this forum and get an idea of what percentage and numbers of owners here have flaky AC. This forum must represent a decent amount of the Grenadier owner population, perhaps it would help sharpen Ineos' perspective on the issue if it popped up on every Google search relating to Grenadier AC issues. I don't have the ability to raise a forum poll but maybe @Stu_Barnes would consider it a worthy exercise

So I've noticed a new noise that I don't recall hearing before. When I start the vehicle now, there is a noise coming from the dash area as if some gas or liquid is pressurizing. Guessing it's HVAC related. Any ideas?

For me this indicated a leak in the freon and subsequently low charge level leading to "cool" at best air from the AC

Perfectly? I'm in Frisco TX and can tell you it does not stand up between noon and 6pm when its 95°+, which is the norm June-Sept. I've been into Sewell INEOS twice already and they agree it was not optimized for our heat. It was build for the European market which does not have AC like American cars. I'm talking from first hand experience driving many cars in Italy both new and older. And BTW my car is Scottish White with Ceramic tint. The Grenadier AC does not compare to my wife's '22 Wagoneer.

My car cam in early 4 months,~10/14/24. It was given all the fixes at the time that were ready at the factory. The truck has been totally trouble free. My only issue is the switches on the roof for roof lighting. Could be something out of place. When the car is a year, the Dealer can look into it. The Houston heat is also repressive, humidity levels can be unbearable. A few years I remember switching shirts about 7X in a row. However the air conditioning has been cold to the point I get frost on the bottom of the windshield. I set it on 68-72 degrees.

Since the AC system recharge in late Aug. 2024 [post #40 this thread] I've had zero issues. AUTO works fine, all vents work as they should, albeit the MaxFan noise appears now and then for no reason. Heat is good after the car is warm, it takes about 6 minutes to blow warm air between 30º - 60ºF (-1C to 15C), about 8-10 minutes if less than 30ºF. I follow the recommended "start up" sequence: turn key to on, wait for the computer too boot past the splash screen, turn the ignition on. Drive away.
