By all reports it was a 2” body lift and some wheel arch modsWere there any other modifications done on this vehicle?

Once IGs are finally in the wild, it’s going to be great watching people/companies start modifying what appears to be an amazing vehicle. That tire size looks fantastic and, provided it doesn’t hinder performance, I’d seriously consider it.By all reports it was a 2” body lift and some wheel arch mods
Sems like a lot of expense for an extra 14mm less the amount the side wall compresses when it is actually on a vehicleIsn’t that tyre only 14mm bigger diameter? 20mm extra width, 70% of that as extra diameter as they are both r70 ratio cases?…or radius, so double.
Looks sick though. Big fan of the fitment in the wheel archSems like a lot of expense for an extra 14mm less the amount the side wall compresses when it is actually on a vehicle
you would gain less than half an inch
Every half inch counts when doing tough tracks. However I will prob wait till my original tyres wear out.Sems like a lot of expense for an extra 14mm less the amount the side wall compresses when it is actually on a vehicle

Dont think it was lifted for the 33 in. Duratrac photos earlier in this thread. Buzz Special Vehicles posted on fb that they were loaned the vehicle by IA for 48hrs to scan it and put the wheels on for photos so unlikely they lifted it then reverted it to stock before returning it. Someone did ask them if there was any rubbing/interference with the Duratracs but no reply. Think I’ll contact them once I’ve got my Grenadier and ask them direct. Looks a good wheel/tyre upgrade.I don’t understand why a 2” lift is required or necessary for a 1” increase in tyre diameter
Maybe for room when the axles are articulated?I don’t understand why a 2” lift is required or necessary for a 1” increase in tyre diameter
The more I look at this image above (other than the spare wheel/tyre bit),.... It looks pretty perfect to me. The wheels have the Rally-Raid look, below is Land-Rover's own off-road competition company, www.bowlermotors.com, extreme off-road motorsport rally raid alloys, a similar-looking wheel; and very cool in white.
The dude in the vid mentions the customised Braid wheels with an offset difference of 15mm from stock. This squares with the Motorsport variant of their wheel that is ‘open spec’. So I’d say they dialed in the perfect offset for that 8” width wheel and tyre combo without the need for trimming anything.Dont think it was lifted for the 33 in. Stock offset is +55 from memory so their Braid wheel is +40.
Are you also thinking new rims with a wider offset? I'll probably just settle for 285/70/17's myself.Has anyone put on 295/70/17 yet? I'm picking mine up next week and can't decided between that or a 285
Standard rims. Not much really in the aftermarket at the moment. They are either butt ugly or have stupid offsetsAre you also thinking new rims with a wider offset? I'll probably just settle for 285/70/17's myself.
Not sure about 7.5, but my landcruiser has 285/70/17 on 8” standard rims.Just about to order some muds for the Gren. I have the standard Ineos 17" steels with 7.5" width. The 285/70's that I'm thinking of request a minimum 8.5" rim width. The tyre fitter thinks 7.5" is too narrow to go from 265/70 to 285/70 and says I ought to check it out a bit more. He will fit whatever I like however.
Any thoughts before I take the plunge on either 265/70's or 2985/70's. Really would like the 285's but that's a bit of an unknown and we're talking £300 per foot here (x5) so don't want to cock it up. Also gearing might pos a problem with the extra inch diameter.
What about 275/70s? Not as common and less choice but gives an increase in diameter and works with 7.5”. Not sure about MTs but the main brands of ATs are available.Just about to order some muds for the Gren. I have the standard Ineos 17" steels with 7.5" width.
