Keep your phone close today!!

It was just to confirm what state I wanted to register it in. Definitely nothing secretive lol
I thought you would be shipped in for the great event in November!

A couple of people on FB said they have received calls to say their build date has been delayed due to problem with Shale Blue colour.

Yes, they called me today to say if I continued with shale blue it would delay my build a further month so I opted for donny grey instead.
I didn’t have you down as a quitter. Can’t believe you caved in to peer pressure 😆

Thats a shame as Shale blue is a nice colour. You have now joined the boring club with the rest of the Donny Grey club (I’m a member).
Hopefully you won’t be disappointed.

Remember to change your avatar as well 😃

Welcome to the Donny Grey Club!

I would have easily waited that month. I see it like Shaky. The colour is really great, not as boring as grey.
We've already waited months, so one more month doesn't matter at all.

And then comes another month. And then we have next year. And then, we get new prices ... ?

Carpe diem.

Colour could be a major factor to some buyers. I'd be surprised if Ineos ramped up costs for those that stick to their original choice.

My phone call was to say that my paint colour choice of Blue Slate/Slate Blue would cause a delay of a month or so unless I changed it. So I did (to Britannia Blue) thereby keeping the delivery on schedule and saving around £300.

A little more optimism, please.
I notice that many people are becoming more and more impatient. Why? I have been waiting since the end of 2016, when a friend told me that Sir Jim Ratcliffe was meeting with friends thinking about a new 4x4.
I am patient and happy when the stepbrother comes to my Land-/Range Rovers.

Inflation was not on the bill.

Being optimistic is everyone's choice. But being realistic often busts optimism.

I can’t see that Ineos will increase prices for sticking to the colour of choice.
If they want to increase prices they would do so in the configurator for new orders. Don’t you think so?
They need the cars on the street and with the dealers to keep the wheel turning. Than there will be marketing chi chi for gathering the mass and than the prices will be risen.
That’s realistic for me.

No one of the earliest orders will get higher prices if they sign the contract as soon as they get it for the original configuration.

Ha! Aye, I'll change my avatar. We are down to one car so desperate to get a car. I had swung between grey and shale for a long time so no biggie.

They called me with the shale blue story. I decided to stick to what I'd ordered..

I considered Donny Grey as that was my second choice, but my old G Wagon is Flintgrau which is pretty similar..

Mmm - I would of thought that they would know what state you are in by your deposit information, and also confirmed by which dealer you have chosen. Obviously if you live close to the border, chosen and interstate dealer or are registering it in a business name, this might cause a variation. I wonder if you can get it registered in Victoria, but pick it up from Bozchrome (SLR)?

I purchased a car from a dealer in Tweed Heads (NSW) but I live on the Gold Coast (QLD) so I asked for it to be registered in QLD. When you live near a border you get used to it.
