The MY25 Owner's Handbook is online. Because I'm a nerd and can't sleep, I read it. There are a couple of interesting items but the one most of us want to see is this one.

So does this mean the patch is finally available?
It doesn't

Additionally there are multiple different hardware generations and such, each one could require different software to be developed. For North American MY24 vehicles, there are two hardware generations, the split exists somewhere around March '24 build (and roughly VIN 17000). This is why the CEL fix for fuel level is available for the earlier vehicles, but not the later vehicles.

It wouldn't surprise me if MY25 either had new hardware bits or used the MY24.2 hardware, which would still mean a different set of software would need to be developed and tested for MY24 vehicles.

It’s entirely possible the changes are going to be for MY25 onward only. We can live in hope I guess but until it happens we just don’t know. If both hardware and software changes are indeed required then the chances of a fix for MY24 and earlier vehicles drops to a lower probability. Hey, maybe it’s part of a Baldrick like “cunning plan” to get early adopts to upgrade to MY25 and help increase sales numbers? :)

Disabling speed assist almost certainly won't require new hardware. It would just be a configuration setting.

There's no reason why they won't release it for MY24, unless they just want to troll us or they are very very lazy.

I'm gonna throw out some positive waves and be optimistic that IG will do the right thing and include the fix for MY24 vehicles as well😁🤞🏻🤞🏻

Not sure if the folks on the thread are talking about the same thing, or maybe it’s just me with a later built Gren. 03/24 Build #17256. I have not been back to the dealer for any software upgrades since delivery in November.
There are two different speed warnings. Both you can toggle off. One if you exceed the posted speed it will alarm and has to be reset every time you cycle the ignition. The second speed warning is if the camera picks up a speed limit sign that is different from the last posted speed limit which is displayed on the screen. This alarm can be toggled off once and it will stay off when you cycle the ignition.

Having said that I have seen the first alarm stay toggled off when I switch off the ignition once I restart the vehicle, however might have something to do with how long between cycle off and back on again……or maybe just gremlins.

Mid-March you say? Well, I'll be. What a fine day that will be, a fine day indeed. I shall look forward to that fine day. Indeed, I shall.
well after reading and hearing from the forum, I'm not holding my breath.... lol Seems like Ineos isn't really holding true to deliver on time yet....

Ineos corporate has never given an actual timeline in any sort of official correspondence (y)

If only Ineos would open up the OS to a 3rd party developer. I'm sure the issues would have been fixed months ago. I'd pay to get that done.

Yeah ditto. I think many here have that dream. e.g. an OBD connected box that can inject messages at vehicle start equivalent to various settings and selections found in the menus. We'd be golden. If someone starts a escrowed bounty for such a thing, please take my money.

I bet this forum could scrape a bounty together that would attract a part time automotive hacker's attention.
