Ineos corporate has never given an actual timeline in any sort of official correspondence

Well a dealer is official from my perspective as a customer. So here is too hope on getting that update sometime around March.

Yeah ditto. I think many here have that dream. e.g. an OBD connected box that can inject messages at vehicle start equivalent to various settings and selections found in the menus. We'd be golden. If someone starts a escrowed bounty for such a thing, please take my money.

I bet this forum could scrape a bounty together that would attract a part time automotive hacker's attention.

Were I ran into a stumbling block is getting the source code out of the damn tablet..... It is a android layer for sure but also has a lot of BMW in it too. For instance the TPM's sensors and the chipset to read temp and psi are all BMW. So is the software it seems presenting that to the driver. I don't have a spare unit so I'm not willing to try some invasive methods to dive too deep. I was hoping someone closer to the factory of the unit might be on the forums or hunting it down as well who has much better access than I. I just want to clone mine in case I brick it. lol

There's a LOT of BMW in it but it's buried. I tried a BMW specific dongle and software that's also known to work with the Supra and it didn't work with the IG. I was hoping to find a back door for service reset...

If only Ineos would open up the OS to a 3rd party developer. I'm sure the issues would have been fixed months ago. I'd pay to get that done.
