Forum friends,
First of all…..thanks for all the excellent feedback over the years!

We ordered in 2023…and bought… a 11/23 build Gren taking delivery January 2024 and loved it. Basic Issues included (and repaired) water intrusion from the sky lights and alignment of the steering. The electrical issues were few and happened periodically in the beginning. All these went away. Every now and then some quirky things were heard from below but passed and we knew the warranty was 5 years.

We decided to upgrade to a Trialmaster for the front/rear diffs as well as the upgraded electrical. Gone is the “upgraded” stereo (base stereo sounds great) and the higher interest rate (got 2.9%). The new unit was built 6/24 and to our surprise it runs much quieter and even feels more substantial…. if that’s possible. The windshield whippers run silently, the engine is quieter, the quirky door knob periodic sticking is gone, the ever so slight door window rattle that I could barely hear when hitting bumps is gone. Finally and too my surprise…..the ADAS “off” function came with the new model!

My point is that the 6/24 unit is definitely and noticeably a better built Gren…. off the lot. No doubt our 11/23 unit satisfied our Grenadier expectations but the 6/24 unit is so much better built in our opinion. FYI….i got a fair trad- in value and both of our purchases from Mossy Ineos Houston were exceptional experiences.

Congrats to Sir Jim and the manufacturing team/leadership at the plant. Bravo!

Very happy two-time owners!

See I just posted on an A/C issue thread this same thing! I think the later produced models (like I have and you just got) are better made with a lot of the issues taken care of as both mine just run with ZERO issues at all!! Now your post/experience really makes me feel this is right. Sorry you had such issues initially and hopefully this 2nd purchase is a much more enjoyable experience!! 👍🙏

Edit: wait a second, I just re-read your post and now catching this “the ADAS “off” function came with the new model!” WHAT?! I bought both mine in May 2024, so I must of just missed out on this update/feature. Dang. Guess I’ll still wait on the software update that supposedly coming….well heck now you have a perfect ride!!!!! 😁🙌

Just to clarify: Are you stating that you can permanently disable the over-speed warning from the ADAS Functions menu?
Yes! Even when you turn off and restart the ADAS will remain off….however, at second start you must confirm you do not want the ADAS activated.

That’s has always been available for MY24. It is a full ADAS disable, not only the intelligent speed assist.

Very interesting. I had an early 23 build Fieldmaster diesel vin xxxxx1250 which I ordered on day 1 of the UK opening and received May 23.
Engine good but i found it hesitated before pulling away. Biggest isssue was water ingress which was eventually traced to poor bodyshell and I rejected.
IA accepted and built me a new one to same spec ( no like for like available in stock). Took delivery May 24 and its is vin XXX19500 it is a much smoother , refined machine in all respects. Happy now.

Now you have me confused as I have two MY24 and I have to turn it off at every restart, but have it saved on my favs so it’s easy two clicks and doesn’t bother me. Please tell me how to fully disable the ADAS permanently. Now I feel like an idiot if this has been available for the last 6 months for mine. 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Does your Gren info system have the options shown above in the photos?

Yes and I have done the same thing you show in your pics and get same warning, but once I turn it off and back on it resets. So either you got a lucky version or a newer update since you purchased yours 1 month after I got both mine. Hey that’s great news either way, as shows it is possible and hopefully they will update all of our vehicles with this option!!🤞

(Btw just tried on both again and still same. It accepts it initially and turns it all off, but once you turn off the vehicles and restart it’s back on 🤷‍♂️)

OK, I could be wrong as…..I’ve only driven the new Gren a couple times. I’ll validate. Turned off and on in the driveway only. Stay tuned.

I have an earlier build 1070, which appears to be OK. You have me interested in how much better a newer build would be.

All….just confirmed that the ADAS system did not retain the setting once driven and turned off. Sorry for the incorrect comment above…..

You will find that for no rhyme or reason it will retain the setting. Sometimes start/stop will retain an off setting as well.

There actually is, since they are using a cloned BMW system it has a shut down period. Just like my BMW's if I have it in say sport mode and shut down for enough time for me to run inside and back out (the car didn't go into sleep/rest mode) and start back up all my settings are still there. I noticed the same thing with my Ineos. Once the vehicle goes to sleep you loose all settings.

FYI for those interested I am working to map those settings now... It has been very hard to find a connection via Bluetooth OB2 dongle but I think I'm starting to make head way. From what I can see if I can get write to work not just current read these settings should all be toggleable. (I do this for all my rides FYI). Also found out the ECU needs to be sent overseas to be bench unlocked for those interested. Working to vet that out as well.

I feel like there is a timer for a while after changing the settings maybe like 15 minutes. Starts and stops within that window retain settings. I think that's what I have observed.

Edit: I see the above post and I defer to his superior Knowledge.

The other annoyance with using ADAS disable is you are greeted with a christmas tree of warning and caution lights in the panel.

I'm hoping someone devises a panel cover for the warning light system that blanks out things like the ADAS functions/ camera light etc. They are super distracting and annoying. Especially at night. I dont need two bright green lights in my face telling me that the headlights are switched on when I'm driving at night on a dark road. DUHHH! of course they are on- pretty self critiquing. Not sure why modern cars feel the need to have an idiot light to tell me the headlights are on!

Im thinking a black panel that blocks out all the lights (except for the critical ones like CEL, low oil pressure, brake failure, turn signals, etc. Perhaps someone smart on 3D printing could figure it out? I would gladly shell out some $$$ for one!
