INEOS Automotive CEO says in Smoking Tire interview ADAS speed warning to be disabled in US Market

ADAS is not actually required in the UK. The EU law was never ratified here. So, if they really wanted, they could remove it for the UK market too. They won't but they could.... but they wont....

We bought another new car post ADAS and that is less "noisy" and instrusive than the IG and to turn off, you just press and hold a button on the steering wheel for a couple of seconds. Ineos over did the ADAS

Point of order - the differential locks are not completely mechanical.

They are electrically operated compared to air operated.
Failing having a lot of wires or levers you need one or the other.

About the 10 minute mark into the video they discuss ADAS.
I am 40 minutes in so far and it is very interesting.
I normally don't watch podcasts but this one is pretty good.
I mentioned when Arcane came out that I thought they would use it to go upmarket and fancy and they would probably also use some other means to go more offroad or safari focussed.
The portal axle thing is exactly it but not sure if they are coming up with another "division" to handle it and others.

Actually, i would rather have an update that helps the car relearn tpms by itself or at least publish to tire shops how to program TPMS sensors to the tires.
Fingers crossed the next software update will address issues like this and may explain the delay? I can’t see them releasing software solely to address ADAS considering every vehicle has to go to a dealer to receive the new code. Hoping they take some pity on existing owners time and the next release addresses multiple issues so we don’t have to keep running back to the dealer every other month. I won’t hold my breath all the fixes will arrive at once but I can live in hope.

The vociferous complaints about ADAS will continue. As will those decrying the lack of owner accessible service information.
You forgot the footrest in RHD markets ;) Even though most of us have forgotten them after the first drive , others are perpetually troubled souls.
