As I said, I'm updating the information. The photos are self-explanatory enough. There are more details in the Spanish-speaking thread. Regards.

An unbelievable depth of water.

What happens next? Whose insurance pays for the replacement - the garage or yours Paco?

Well, neither one nor the other, since the area is declared a catastrophe, both insurance companies are inhibited, and the "Insurance Compensation Consortium" must take charge, so we will see, the situation here continues to be chaotic, there must be about two hundred thousand cars affected/totally destroyed.

I have no words - that is a financial as well as a personal catastrophe. I didn't realise so many have lost vehicles. The news doesn't share this, of course we knew of the destruction of homes, businesses and the massive loss of life.

Paco, good luck, we are thinking of you all.

I didn’t instantly click what had gone in here, thought you had driven it into deep water to start.

Really sorry to see this but more importantly I hope your family and friends are safe.

I have watched news articles in total disbelief at the carnage nd the apparent lack of instant help and aid.

You probably have already realised but it’s likely to drag on for years. Everyone will be looking for vehicles in the region.

Wow! I know how you feel, as I lost mine when it went under water from storm surge here in Florida during Hurricane Helene.... At least her my insurance covered it and the Ineos dealer I got it from had one that was pretty similar, so I'm back to having one. Hope you are as fortunate as me to get it replaced!

I am terribly sorry for your loss! I hope you and your family are okay, the Spanish floods were truly terrifying.

To clarify what we are seeing in the photos: it was in for service and opened up when the garage was evacuated? I'm assuming a lot, but did the water come in through the open window/door and the engine was open to receive new oil when the flood water arrived?

I hope you are back on the road soon.

As I have already told several times in the other thread, the car was at the dealership to update the software, and since I had to take it I asked them to bring forward the first service (the car was 10 months old and had 5000 km) the flood occurred at night and the car was with the hood open, one window down and the oil filler cap not in place, anyway the water reached a height of more than 2 meters if you look at the photos you can see the mark on the glass where the water reached, and it was on the lift 20 cm from the ground.

I had to google translate each post.

Sorry for the loss of your truck.

Sucks. On the bright side, it was a car and not you or your home (I hope not) and that's why we pay insurance.

Holy crap - the water level and mud. Fortunately you are alive, and I feel for the scores of dead and their grieving families.
