Hello everyone,

I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and our new dealership, Kuhn Ineos Grenadier! This is an exciting moment for us, and we can't wait to serve the San Francisco Bay/Northern California community and surrounding areas.

If we are your IG dealer you’ve likely chatted with Dave or Matt already. They are on site working hard to keep future owners informed and having loads of fun demo driving in our two Grenadiers we now have on site (I’m obviously completely jealous!). I will be able to join in the fun at the end of the month and I can’t wait!

For our current and future Kuhn IG owners, feel free to introduce yourselves and let us know if you have any questions or suggestions. We're looking forward to getting to know our new neighbors and our wonderful IG community!!

Best regards and Cheers! ~Kelly Elise
Hello.
Why is your dealer ship not listed or referenced on the Ineos web site?
They only list this place in San Rafael?
Thx, new member, buyer.

The post you're responding to is nearly a year old. Kuhn was supposed to be the NorCal dealer, however, never fully opened. The new NorCal dealer is Price Family Ineos in San Rafael

Thank you for that info
I am new to this forum and have 2 questions and not sure where to post them
1. Are Greandier owners happy with the reliablity ?
2. I live in Peninsula/Silicon Valley area and our Grandier Dealer is over an hour away each direction. That would make servicing a non starter on purchasing this vehicle. Who if anyone can i get to service the vehicle in my area?
Thank you

I'm on the peninsula. I think Marin isn't too bad. I can flatbed it there with AAA if need be. I bought mine when the closest dealer was in LA.

There's a rumor that a south bay or peninsula location will open up next year.

I'm pretty happy with mine. If you pm me you can come over on Sunday and check it out. I'm off marsh Rd and 101

Anyone can service it, however, at this time, only the dealer can reset the service interval.

If having a dealer an hour away is a non-starter, I would suggest looking back into Grenadiers in a year or two to see if another Bay Area dealer opens

Thank you for the feedback. You are very kind. Have you had to service your Grenadier at any point other than for schecduled maintenance?

I've had mine since May. I have not needed to do any repairs to it, I'm at 4.500 miles and will be at 6k in 2 weeks (going to Moab).

Going to do an early oil change at 6k miles instead of 12k as the manual state. Going to have them inspect all fluids at the same time.

I am going to ask them to check the driver's door for alignment of the striker plate, I have to slam it a bit harder than the other doors since I got the car. If I was right next to a dealer I'd done it sooner. I'm probably going to use the Marin facility starting November as they gotten staffing and training setup. My service will be done by Warner in salt lake since I'm going to Moab and my brother lives there so just an extra stop. If he didn't live there I would have done Marin.

I used the wrong technique for closing the hood. It generates some warning bongs that was I couldn't figure out until someone on the forum said it was the hood latch. Now I let the hood fall from shoulder height and no more problem.

My steering wheel is slightly misaligned. It's not the steering, just the wheel. Dabull posted how to align it but I'm going get the dealer to do it. I'm probably going to have to pay for that but it's okay with me.

That's it.

However, I could still get lots of issues. I just haven't seen it yet.

Most owners here are MULTIPLE hours from their dealer. You need the dealer for warranty service and to do the service interval resets - but any good independent mechanic (should find one that specializes in European imports and BMW’s) can service it in a pinch. The service network strategy is still up in the air which is a big miss. Obviously, this group is composed of early adopters, most of whom are slightly nuts - so don’t use us as your baseline. If you want fast, easy service and a robust dealer network, this is going to be frustrating for you. On the other hand, if you want the comfortable, street legal equivalent of a tank and want something that will get you where most alternatives won’t, and are willing to go through the early ramp up, might be a good option for you.
