The Down Under crowd started receiving vehicles a full year before North America. The early vehicles were a little less polished, shall we say. You'd have to ask @Red pepper directly but with a forum join date of 2021 I assume he may have been through several updates.

@255/85 do you use manual mode at all?

@Zimm might see if the transmission adaptations can be reset. Mine is under 2k mi and shifts pretty smoothly into 2nd and then doesn't go to 1st until almost stopped. It kind of reminds me of the ZF 8HP75 in the power wagon w/ tow mode on in the lower gears.

I do use manual mode - a little - mostly on down grades or steeper climbs. I'm not daily driving the vehicle but still using it within city limits. The quick shift out of first catches me up so I tend to leave the shifter pushed to the right (LHD). I also haven't become comfortable with being in manual and then getting to reverse and back to the forward gears. I'll need
to learn that trick. Eventually it'll become second nature I'm sure but you gotta cut me some slack. This is the first auto trans vehicle we've ever owned (for more than a month or two) other than some older pickups with column shift 3 speeds.

Yep. Most of the time, mine gives a clunk from 3 to 2, and then also 2 to 1. A little over 7,000 klicks on the clock.

In Low mode, the speed is twice as slow as in High, meaning that the accelerator pedal travels a lot more.

Accelerator travel to rpm is exactly the same in high or low. The goal is slower rpm ramp up and softer tip in permitting more precise control.

good i brought the concern to the community. i believe it may be address tuning the software. hope ineos big brother is listening. i know the trans is strong but coming from a Chevy with torque converters completely destroyed at 70k miles because those bangs i know how damaging can be. Chevy fixed with a thicker transition oil and free torque converters for those with the issue.
