Grenadier Tackles Bullen Climb

The Grenadier did the climb easier than the other vehicles, due mainly to better wheel articulation. On the descent, it was helped by lower gearing.

Nice.

Diesel?

While I did hear the brakes squeaking on the last run, I didn’t hear the steering pump…..

Thank you. Yes. Diesel, which is the more popular choice here in Australia where we have the option.

The 200 Series that went down first had to use the brakes quite a bit, whereas the better crawl ratio of the Grenadier (56:1 for the diesel) meant that I was really just covering the brakes.

As for steering pump noise, I’ve never heard it. 🙂
