Grenadier Spotted

I just took a 3.5 hour drive from northern Vermont to Boston and can report that the ratio of new Defenders:Grenadiers was 7:1... just one (Inky Black) sighted. A darned-fine looking vehicle, I might add!

Spotted earlier today in Farnborough Uk - Black Grenadier signwritten with Brush Strokes Chimney Sweeping. Unable to see registration number or identify driver but
the company is based in Farnham. Don't know if owner is on this Forum ( or lurking ? ) but a warm welcome to the local area.

Given her love of Defenders, I always wonder if QE2 would have bought a Grenadier to try it out.

I think IA may have dropped a Sela Green one off at Sandringham, A burgandy one at Balmoral and an Inky Black one at Windsor castle.

All with the keys in, an tank of fuel and a little note from Sir Jim . " Wouldn't mind a Royal Warrant Maaam"

I saw the Jersey plate first. The R.O.V.E.R.S. sticker was my next clue. And I thought your truck was white.

Not exactly a “spotted” but I think it fits in this thread as it gave me a little giggle.

On New Year’s Day I passed a JL Jeep heading the opposite direction. No big deal, I see dozens of them on my commute each day. This time it was different though. The driver started to give me the “2-finger off the steering wheel” Jeep wave but as we got closer he realized it wasn’t another Jeep. He must have given himself whiplash doing a “What the heck is that thing?!“ neck twist as we passed. I smiled and chuckled the rest of the drive home.

Hi PCO1!
I am planning my trip to Morocco for next year, starting with the ferry to Nador april 16th, 2015. Where do I find Aziz’s garage in Zagora? Would be happy to have an address from a good garage, just in case!
Any more tips? We will go south from Nador to Iche, Figuig and then west into the desert to the Ergs, head up north zo Zagora, Marrakesh and then from Tanger back to Europe.

HNY and apologies for just picking up your message as been away.
I also have another trip booked for Morocco in April.
We go to Tangier port and travel quite quickly down to the Atlas Mountains, either coastal route or through Fez (which is an interesting stop off for the Medina if you have time).
We then generally take various routes through the Cedar Forest, Mid and High Atlas passes before going into the Sahara and play in the sand dunes.
Some of the gorges are well worth driving through (Dades and Todra), just stunning.
The famous Gara Medaour is a must as well.
In terms of Aziz's garage it is Garage Iriki, Ave Atlas-Zaouite, Zagora (tel +212 666 663083)
