Static roof load is 420kgI’m guessing @Ingemar is over the static roof load with that set up. 78kg for the plated version of the roof rack. 27.8kg for the Bush company 270XT awning. 99kg for the Bush Company AX27 roof tent. Total 204.8kg
You can enter from the rear of the tent or either sideIt's a viable solution and maybe right for Ingemar and others. It looks solid and will do the job, I guess.
But: If I saw it right, the awning must be closed before you can enter the tent. If the awning is open you can not access the tent and what's inside. This is likely the same for most 270° awnings, but entering on the passenger right side (in Ingemars setup) would do as well - if you have a repective tent.
Your right I was getting my dynamic and static muddled upStatic roof load is 420kg
Dynamic roof load is 150kg and so yes you are correct.
The roof panels seem a bit redundant with a tent on top of them.
correct. you can enter the tent on three sides. I set up the tent via the rear ladder and once the awning is open, I enter via the right hand side.Ah, that's good. Didn't know this.
correct. trying to solve the issue by removing the plates (etc) for the tent-setup and save some kilos. (the ax27 is 90kg according to my data sheet so I end up with 164,5kg for now)I’m guessing @Ingemar is over the dynamic roof load with that set up. 78kg for the plated version of the roof rack. 27.8kg for the Bush company 270XT awning. 99kg for the Bush Company AX27 roof tent.
