I make a mean rabbit pie, got plenty running around here. Good gravy, carrots, diced potato, some Henderson's Relish - wallop

Lamb shank pie, small 4 shank and large 8 shank
I make it for group gatherings once or twice a year.

I imagine something pull out rail mounted that deploys a nice shelter between doors quickly.
This would make a 1.5 meters wide cover, may be 1.5 meters long as well. The shelter is then about 2.1 meters above ground.

If the rain comes at an angle or it's windy, it won't likely help much.

Good enough.
Remember how high the loading level is and therefore every drawer will be you install. So equipment will stay out direct hit.
Also I am coming from this. =)

So do not want to spoil too much at once.
Comfort when camping needs to stay at the borderline of discomfort, no? Otherwise you would book a cabin and travel south instead of north. =P

Just spotted an iKamper Mini installed on a Grenadier on Youtube.
It is same width and height as the larger 4 person one in height and width.
Looking good and gives some indication around space for installing a awning.

Cheap solution was to attach PVC pipe to the roof rack with outdoor duty cable ties. There are two PVC diameters that telescope well. There's a U-shape that pulls out of the side pieces. That can be with or without supporting posts. I angle the supports to drain off rain. I use ballistic nylon for shade and small waterproof tarps for rain. The PVC pipe and some fittings are ordinary schedule 40. I forget the two telescoping diameters. The angled and sling fit fittings are mail order from PVC furniture and PVC greenhouse suppliers. One morning I pushed in the U shape but forgot to secure it and it came off on I-70 in MO. Quick trip to Home Depot and voila. I had to fudge the sling fits until I could have more shipped to a friend on the way.

I'm pretty sure that idea was used on some military vehicles to give extra room ~ was it called a commander's penthouse?
