Has anyone swapped out exhaust tips for larger ones. I know it would involve some welding but I think some larger black tips would look great

Yes! I installed the Milltek exhaust on mine and it has huge black exhaust tips and sounds so much better!!

thanks fellas! Any”droning” sound at hwy speed on those set ups ?
There is a bit of a drone at highway speeds. Yes. But honestly, it sounds amazing in the city, grumbles, barks and spits a bit once in awhile. The engine literally sounds alive. I love it.

How about a modification to reduce potential damage to the exhaust by improving the ‘departure angle’ of the exhaust tips themselves? Please see photos below for examples of “percussion adjustments” seen in Moab, UT.

Wow! You killed those tips man! It was probably fun as hell right?

Cut off the tips back under the overhand of the rear guard. Shouldn’t hurt anything at all. Or pop in new pipes and bend them left and right behind the rear bash guard?

Not my Gren, but I appreciate the advice before it happens to mine!
