If your seal have shrunk. Be pleased Ineos solution is replace them with seals that will also shrink again. They have not re-engineered the seals so they do not shrink!!! Just like BMW when they launched the 5 series and the door seals delaminated and fell off in certain climates! So much for German engineering!!!!

Do your doors hold water when it rains and then soak you when you open a door? That is if the door handle button works and hasn’t stuck. Ineos solution change all the door handle button mechanisms! With the same unmodified parts that will also stick. A high quality specialist grease might give a short term solution, but not if shit cannot penetrate the inherent lock design mechanism???

In January I sprayed each of my locks with graphite spray. I worked the spray into the mechanism by pressing hard on each lock button at leat 25 - 30 times. Since then, absolutely no sticking buttons. If I have to do that a couple of times a year I can deal with that. Coming up to six months and counting.

I noticed last week that my doors no longer needed the good slam to shut that they needed when the vehicle was brand new. A quick inspection of the door seals confirmed that three out of four door seals had started to de-laminate after 1500 miles.

Personally I don't think it's an issue that Ineos are going to fix easily: The double door seals effectively form an air bubble and it's only natural that they're going to 'pop' through the weakest point. My vehicle already has the notches cut into the lower edge of the outer seal and it's obviously not the definitive fix. Maybe introducing a deliberate 'breather tube' type device between the seals would fix it, but in the meantime I expect we'll all need to learn to make running repairs or keep taking it back for warranty repairs!

My doorseals were partial delaminated as I bougth my Grenadier. I cleaned the surface of the car finish and the surface of the delaminated doorseal with Isopropanol, then I pushed the seals on the surface of the car finish. I did this on all 4 doors, then let them closed for a while. Since 3 months the doorseals stick on the surface whithout delamination. My neighbor also had bought a Grenadier his seals were also delaminated. I did the same procedure on his truck, his seals did stick since then as well as mine on the car finish. Maybe this will help some of you as well.

They also started falling off for me as well (2 doors), I had to use Loctite 406 to glue them back since some gaps are just too big. It is too much hassle for me to take the vehicle back to the dealership.

I had three dealer replace mine all round. The new seals are different, far more solid. So worthwhile if you can make it to the dealer.

are the new seals structurally different from the old ones, the ones that I have currently have a flat surface that is glued/stuck to the door, once dirt or water gets into the gap, it is difficult to see how it won't start falling off

They are the same basic shape, but appear to have adhesive across the whole flat part.

Although, just looking, it is hot here and it looks like the seals are coming off again.

The newer seals also feel a little stiffer and hold the shape more than the older ones, my dealer showed me them on one in the showroom, they also have the two holes pre cut in the bottom.

Mine was built with the two holes pre cut in the bottom. But I'm confused, one of Ineos's sell point was 800mm wading depth because of the double door seals. If they have compromised one of the seals, what impact will this have on 800mm wading duration time?

I also wondered that when advised to do the same by dealer. Just used my leather hole punch to cut semi circles out. The double door seals were part of the speal

Speal = A speech or in this case the unique selling point of the Grenadier.

I also brought this up, as part of the dealer fix is to re-glue your current seal back onto the vehicle and cut two slots in to the old seal at the bottom.

As many others have also brought this up on here, surely the negates the seal if it has two big chunks out of it !!
