Door Locks

Can anyone who has had this recall performed confirm if they indeed change the locks / keys and ignition cylinder? Mine will go in April 1. Have not had any issues. 10608 build number.

Weld the doors shut and call it General Lee

now where is Daisy when I need her

She wasn’t worried about doors flying open 😃

Once again, the British supporting the Confederacy. You’ve seen the physique and age of the average grenadier owner, right? And you know how high the window is. Guaranteed someone “makes themselves a eunuch for the Kingdom of God” with that move.

First test drive, no side steps. Wife fell out flat on floor 🤣 was not the correct response. 'You're not having one of those stupid things', took me sometime to reassure that side steps would work and to get her to try again.

Hello Forum
I believe I read there is a recall on the door handle or locks having issues ???
Anyone know ? Thanks
I'm not. Yet. But I met a woman yesterday (easy to spot one another out there huh?) who was having problems with hers. So glad that I've come up with land rovers to get here (Grenadier) because now I can tolerate the little stupid things that will go wrong with these trucks. Stuff that would make "normal" car buyers going insane!

every single door on mine has had the sticking issue including the rear 1/3 door. Didn't happen all the time so it was a bit weird. Last visit to the dealer couple of months ago they relubricated them. No issues so far since.

Yep - I’m one of them. In the 11,000’s. Rear passenger door swung open - my little urchin was in back in a booster seat - I made a left turn, the door opened and she screamed. My dealer tried to do the fix per the TSB, but it hasn’t fixed it - I notice the door button sticking after a car wash, oddly enough. It’s like clockwork. Since it happened, I triple check to make sure the button pops back out after I shut the door. It’s only the rear passenger side that does it.
Rear passenger door has been my issue too, though I couldn't swear that it is only there. Terrifying about the little one!

Connect a strap from the door handle to the rear L Track ring.

Yes, the old fashioned button can get stuck in the inside position, especially after rain or cold weather. Then the closing mechanism does not latch in. Happens to me almost every day. Normally, there should be a warning light that the dooor is not fully closed, but with the stupid Grenadier electronics, this light sometimes may not come up.
Reason is a lack of lubrication, so the button stays inside. I sprayed a bit of WD-40, which helped for a few days. But the best is a visual quick check to see if the button is out. Since the Grenadier is anyway a bit like an airplane, such a pre-flicght check is ok.
