I popped in to the dealer on Saturday and it’s not arrived so I doubt I’ll get it this week even if it arrived today. No doubt they will have to fettle and pdi it before I get my sweaty palms on it.
Fingers crossed for speedy arrival.

Couple of questions if you don't mind;

1) Have you sorted out insurance yet and if so with whom and what cost?
2) Does your agent have to afix any accessories to your Grenny when they take delivery or has the factory taken care of everything? Would be good to know which boxes you ticked.

Very exciting.

LV are the winner on insurance but I’ll trawl the market again once I’ve paid for it.
I am not sure the dealer does anything to the vehicle once it’s with them apart from pdi but I did read that they may fit the side runners?

My spec was the station wagon but with all the accessories on it apart from lockers and extra electric off take.

it was supposed to be delivered today but guess what, it’s not with the agent yet. That said it is due ”any day”. Rest assured that I will share news of its arrival in the manner of an expectant new father..!
Expectant fathers can be assured of one thing, a baby WILL arrive timescale fixed by nature. I wouldn't put a Grenadier in that category 🤣

This software update excuse has been hanging around for a long time now. How come this problem didn't show up during the Million Mile testing they did all around the world?
correct.

I asked on the forum a few weeks ago:

does anyone know exactly what software on board the car needs updating
is it a 5 minute plug & download fix or longer
no one seemed to know or proffer a guess

My guess would be the prototypes probably didn't have it or was not what they wanted in the first place and the real software wasn't available... maybe coming from Ukraine... ;)

There has been talk on the forum previously that the ‘software update’ related to the airbags.

In one of the Insta pics from the recent press junket an airbag warning lamp could clearly be seen illuminated on the roof of the centre console switches.

Wound be interested to know from any of the forum members who have recently sat in their vehicle and kicked the engine over if an airbag warning was illuminated.
