Congratulations

So I suppose what I’m asking is on the daily commute or 1000km big first day touring what are they like to live with - more like a cruiser or a GU patrol.

Last question I promise, and I’ll stop sounding like an excited school girl now. And I know that’s a hard answer after a 10 minute drive on the blacktop.
I often take 8-10 hour drives and this would be no problem in the GRenadier
The seats and driving position are excellent and the steering wheel is quite thick and comfortable.
I have never done that in the cruiser or patrol so can’t give you a fair answer.

Thanks DaveB, sounds like a great afternoon!

Your thoughts?
Visuals from the driver's seat - to outside, inside - controls, touch & feel?
Does it feel heavy, solid, light, nimble, high quality, average quality - compared to what?
What of the now infamous RHD footrest - is it a mole or a mountain or something in between

Thanks DaveB, sounds like a great afternoon!

I just saw your earlier responses - dont worry about my questions

View of controls and outside is very good, roof buttons a bit harder to see some
Dial and buttons to control the screen sit nicely when arm resting on lockable storage box
Not many storage areas for glasses etc
It feels very heavy but nimble.
Feeling was very much like a Mercedes except the steering, which is extremely light
RHD foot rest is a non event and I don’t know why it has become such an issue.
I moved the seat back, lowered and pulled out the steering wheel a bit and never noticed it again.
I drive with the ball of my right foot on the accelerator, not the heel like some pictures I have seen.
Brake fell naturally to my foot as well.
Hand brake lever has very little travel
Wipers are manual

DaveB is definitely a fanboy. Whoever said something else is a troll.
Maybe a new banner would help.

Justin Hocevar was in the passenger seat
Wow, that was a great ride!

Glad you had a great day. And everything I read sounds very similar to what I felt when I got to test drive one. I didn't get to drive it on tar though, but I'm convinced it will be perfect for me.

So you're the first one here who was able to drive it on tar, and you're also the only one who had the pleasure of having the Ineos head of Australia in the passenger seat. What a great trip!

Thanks a lot for your write up! (y)

Great write ups, thanks DaveB!

Dreaming of places to go in the IG. Oh so many…

I just got home and I still have a grin on my face.
Left home 4.30am Monday and arrived home 4 pm Friday
Glad I got to spend 3 hours with them
So after your drive, is there anything that you are thinking of changing at all?

Also did they have any other IG’s there other than the black one?

They only had the one but said there was meant to be three.
I showed them how we were tracking the ship and they laughed their heads clean off.
I have all the Fieldmaster plus all the Trialmaster
Plus some extras
Not much I can really change.
One thing for sure I wont be changing the engine, colour or vehicle.
