Chuckle in Your Day! (AKA the joke thread)

A life size 3D skeleton has been printed of that dinosaur, Cooper - that's right 3D full size skeleton. I have seen it (in pieces).

Once stage 4 is complete (recently approved and financed) there will be full size skeleton of that dinosaur, Cooper, as part of the building complex (part of the Stage 4 build).

They are working on excavating a dinosaur skeleton, in the field, bigger than Cooper right now. I suspect it will be top 3 in the world, in terms of size. Cooper is huge but the second one is even bigger. Top 3 would make it MASSIVE. Same species as Cooper, roughly 10-15% bigger.

I should be in Eromanga now, but these injuries from the accident are proving to be a problem even 2 years later. At least I am finally getting better.

It's only 1,152 kms from my place so will put it on my list for a week away

Damn woman got spoiled again.
As I call mine "The Beast" she has decided hers is "The Baby Beast"
ARB Summit Bullbar going on in May
She now wants bigger and better tyres etc etc etc.
If anyone ever asks if the chequerplate on the GRenadier front quarters is useful or just for show..............

So.
Yesterday my wife had a bull/roo bar fitted to the baby beast.
Now she wants to change the tyres to K02's or K03's
Not to mention a light bar and some fog lights.

Looks fantastic.
It was. He is the write up for all 4 days across Cape York in a helicopter, with some amazing images:

Including crocs out the helicopter window. That croc is in the ocean (aka the Coral Sea) - lots of tannins around that area.

Morning tea time by the waterfall, such great memories.

Haggerstone Island huh - didn’t know we had a millionaire in our midst. 😉

I was on a 4 Day trip across Cape York, I chartered the helicopter. My pilot Bungie had an emergency call from Haggerstone's owners to take and fit a new starter motor for the Bob Cat. Bungie had a crash course on how to fit the starter motor. Only the caretaker was there.

We landed, Bungie replaced the starter motor with us two helping (just a little bit). It started the first time.

Owners said we could stay for the night for free :). I agreed to the diversion of my charter flight.

I also did a 4 day Kakadu/Arnhem Land charter and the Kimberley one as well. Just amazing trips. I have some seriously good images from those 3 trips.

It was a helicopter trip at AWC's Mornington Sanctuary, The Kimberley (and Piccaninny Plains, Cape York) that got me hooked on helicopter charters (the occasional one anyway). At Mornington AWC flew us onto the bluff for a cooked morning breakfast and then across the sanctuary after breakfast.

BFG KO2 great on wet roads? That’s a first
My set are now over 70,000 km on them, great off road, very tough and durable tire but wet black top is terrible and have to drive accordingly.
They have had poor wet road traction from day one and are now horrendous especially under brakes

The day I did my test drive in Perth it was lightly raining and I had Justin in the passenger seat.
On the tar section it handled much better than I expected as K02’s don’t have a great rep in the wet.
On the last straight Justin told me to floor it and then stand on the brakes.
I was surprised how well it stopped and how straight.
Probably also a testament to the Bremen brakes.

Like you however I adjust my driving to suit when the 3 tonne brick is on wet tarmac with all-terrain tyres

Are your KO2's made in USA

Not forgeting that the USA and Europe are allowed more speed. The Grenadier KO2 are USA made and have a different compound, rating and lifespan apparently, than what we would have here if we can still buy KO2...different factory[Indo?]and compound...I have 47700ks and they stick...I only drive hard alone in the car and have had some interesting moments (y)
